Are 4/10's Broken?

Yes, most likely random is random, but the sample size is approaching 30 sites. Do the Guristas Scout Outposts drop the Pithum C-Type Invuln Fields anymore? Did I miss the memo somewhere along the way? I keep just getting overseer effects.

I could, in fact, just have terrible luck. I thought maybe I'd see how other people are doing with these lately.


EDIT: I got one 5 minutes after posting this. CCP tryna through me off their trail. I'm on to you....

My experience in a single day i got 12 expeditions to 4/10 in HIGH SEC.

- 6 of them dropped only the OPE
- 5 of them dropped c-type resistance amplifiers [crap loot]
- 1 of them dropped c-type medium shield booster [meh loot]

The high sec tests were almost not worth it if it wasn't for a random dread guristas invul field drop from a dread guristas destroyer while running anomalies to get the 4/10 escalations.

The loot tables are messed up.

I live with corp in LOW SEC. 4/10 in low sec have better loot drops. For 2 expeditions and 4 scanned 4/10.

- the expeditions gave me each c-type medium shield booster
- 2 scanned 4/10 gave me 1 c-type invul & one c-type medium shield booster each
- 1 scanned 4/10 gave me just a c-type medium shield booster
- 1 scanned 4/10 gave me a c-type medium shield boosters & c-type shield resistance amplifiers

These 4/10 tests were done over the course of 3 days Friday [high sec anomalies farm], Saturday, Sunday.

Overall i think security status has a great impact on RNG. But i think the HS ones need some love too.

Historically, I've had equal success between low and high sec 4/10s. Half of those 30 sites were in low, I do think I just had terrible luck for a while.

A sample size of 12 and a sample size of 6 are hardly anything... Find that the same thing happens 100 times and then maybe you'll be onto something.

In my experience sec status has no impact on the loot spawned.

Aprox. 20 combat anomolies later, I've gotten 1 expedition that dropped nothing.

done 5-6 rogue drone 3/10 which only dropped OPE....

Beginning to feel kinda strange, never have I had this bad luck ever since Odyssey was released.


If Genesis - Aridia - Kor'Azor - Bleak Lands low sec regions weren't so camped out, I'd go looking for stuff there.

i think RNG was quietly buffed and nerfed at the same time if you know what i mean :)
