the dark cloud-sooten sky loomed above us. We pushed forward, past the caldaries sorry attempt at a defense. They could do little to stop our advance on their colony. Third generation hyperion class battleships loomed over us in low orbit, Surveying the ground for any signs of further resistance.

I stood over the battlefield standing witness to fallout left behind us in our wake of destruction, bodies of both caldari and gallente alike. Twisted metal was all that was left of the immense war machines that had once lain here.

It was seemingly all going to plan, our attack had come as a suprise to the caldari forces, having not expected a direct attack on one of their inner colonies. From here we had taken control of their anti-air batteries and seized the ship production yards.

We were to head back to our dropship, return to our carrier and await further instruction... I heard loud explosions, one after the other, i looked up only to see our first and second flagship escorts falling, Blinding flashes of white stunned us as more slip-space ruptures opened. Many caldari battleships accompanied by a caldari dreadknought jumped in, one after the other. There was no possiblity of us ever overcoming a force of such power. It took but minutes for our fleet to fall, the remnants forced to sumbit to the overwhelming forces of the caldari amada.

That was the first time we bore witness to the strength of the new commanders known as "capsuleers".
