Ran for CEO but still can't change anything

So in my old corporation all my friends are afk and I ran for CEO, voted for myself, and a day later I'm now the CEO, but I still can't change anything and when I try to view my wallet or change permissions, it says I still need the role of junior accountant or accountant to access everything - but when I view my permissions, it says that I have all the permissions a CEO has? Is there something else I need to do?

Maybe wait for one more downtime for things to update?

Check to see under your Politics screen that you have to click yay or nay to make the sanction happen. The vote may have passed but it takes a director to click that button to make it happen
