BPC Pricing Halp

Long Story short I've had the opportunity to use a couple hundred 10/20 Cap component Bpos Fall into my Lap.

Prices on Bpcs are all over the place in game and even on the sell forums.

I have 100 Slots to copy with Between 10 Characters ( SP Farm That I was too late in starting but I made them specifically to be useful even if the market crashed)

So I guess I'm asking

1. What dictates how much a Bpc is worth

2. Are 5/10/20/40 Run Bpcs Preferred

3. Is it worth the time to copy

I'm not a huge industry guy , If these are really obvious questions I apologize.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

What dictates how much a Bpc is worth: The market. Nothing more, nothing less.

Common things won't be worth a lot. Things which are very expensive to start with will likely be worth more.

Generally, the more the better. unless you're selling a pack to make a specific thing.

it depends.

Best thing to do is jump onto the contract system and have a look at what they are currently going for.

I made a bunch of Cap BPCs and I found that they were not really worth it, as they take a while to copy and sell for very little. That being said i ahve not look at it for at least 6 months so things might have changed.

People buying the capital packs tend to favour 5 or 10 runs ive found because the serious builders have multiple alts and need the bpcs split between them, that being said some guy might just wanna make 50 cargo bays to pop on the market so might not care.

Packs usually sell for a bit more than selling the runs individually , possibly because of widespread lazyness or people just dont care about a couple hundred milos anymore if you can make some packs out of what you have then it might be worth buying some ship bpcs to increase their overall value otherwise sell them off individually at current contract prices or in bulk, say 100 runs of a specific type in a pack or somthing.

I think I'm going to give it a go , worst case scenario I end up with a metric **** ton of 5 Run bpcs that I can slowly eat through as I build Fax / Dreads for my alliance.

One last thing before I leave you guys alone , Are there any websites that track contract price history , or is there an easier way to check other than going through people's contract history ?

Theres no way of checking contract history prices overall across all of EVE by design at the moment, Most people have their own appraisel tools with spreadsheets. personally id check the sell orders thread, find your competition and check the average price their cap sets go for, shouldnt be too tedious just check a few peoples contract history and underprice them a little bit, dont crash it and spoil everyones fun :).

If you want to get the most out of them id recommend making Hel or Naglfar bpc packs theyre pretty hot right now.
