does anyone have a fit for me that can be successfull . my maxed domi with maxed sentry drone interfacing boat cant kill a bunch of serpentsis cruisers lol . my secondary skills are level 4 and im repairing easily but my drones just cant kill **** . even with extra tracking in mid slot and a drone damage mod in low im sucking hard. i am also using the correct drones for range with 2 light drones out to kill small stuff

How close are you? Sentry drones have battleship-level tracking and don't do well at close range.

the mission warps me in about 20 km away and i poped 3 gaurd 2 also 2 integrated hornets . the misssion is a level 3 the blockade lol . the serpentsis cruisers are reping themselfs faster than i can damage them . i could warp out when my domis armour gets low and keep doing that till there dead . but frankly im abit embarressed i cant kill cruisers fast enough to prevent that

For a start stop dual tanking. And dont hull tank in missions. Replace all the hull mods for armor ones. Replace 3 of the reinforced bulkheads for three appropriate armor hardeners for the npcs you are fighting. For serpentis that would be 2 thermal and one kinetic iirc. Then use an extra drone damage mod to replace the last. Drop the hull reppper for another Omni tracking link or a Target Painter.

That should already mean you don't have to warpout. Especially in a level 3. Though I guess with low skills Blockade is probably one of the harder ones. the extra damage and tracking should mean you have less problems killing the cruisers. Problem solved. Jiggle the fit to get it to fit with your CPUand PG skills.

Also having different types of drones out at a time won't help you. You'll take longer to kill things. So if your drones
management skills are good enough you can probably pop all frigs with gardes when they are at range and just leave them out to chew on the rest. Otherwise use 5 lights to kill the frigs then recall and drop gardes or hammerheads to kill the cruisers.

For the hull rigs I dunno. Replace with CCC's if you want more cap or something.

PS - CCC is Capacitor Control Circuit. And don't forget to switch the hardeners depending on what rats you are fighting each mission. )))

Here's what I'd probably try to start with:

[Dominix, sentry mjd entry]
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Drone Damage Amplifier II
Signal Amplifier II
Large Armor Repairer II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Armor Thermal Hardener II

Large Micro Jump Drive
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II, Optimal Range Script
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II, Optimal Range Script
Omnidirectional Tracking Link II, Optimal Range Script
Cap Recharger II

Drone Link Augmentor II
1200mm Heavy 'Scout' Artillery I, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma L
1200mm Heavy 'Scout' Artillery I, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma L
1200mm Heavy 'Scout' Artillery I, Republic Fleet Phased Plasma L
Large Solace Scoped Remote Armor Repairer
Drone Link Augmentor II

Large Capacitor Control Circuit I
Large Auxiliary Nano Pump I
Large Ancillary Current Router I

Garde II x5
Warden II x5

A huge part of your tank is range. Use the micro jump drive to get away from the rats and then plink them off with wardens and then gardes as they get closer. Pulse the repper as needed, but at 100km (especially in a level 3) you really shouldn't need it much.

Tip: the fitting window has an option to save the fitting to clipboard , it's a little button down the bottom right.
You can then paste the fitting in a format the Ingame and 3rd party tools will recognize.
Looks exactly like what zhilia posted

Just an FYI to the OP:

- you do not need the 1600mm plate. That only adds on raw HP and contributes nothing to rate-of-repair (which is what you want).

- the same goes for the Trimark rigs as they only add raw HP to your ship. You want Auxiliary Nano Pumps and Nanobot Accelerators (increases armor repair amount and speed, respectively).

- don't use different drone types in the same flight. Use all Sentries at range, then pull them in and deploy different drones when the NPCs get close (use Heavies for anything cruiser sized and up, Light drones for frigates)

- When you can, switch to Tech 2 drones. They are cheaper and actually deal more damage than "Integrated" drones.

- Use Gallente drones against most enemies. They deal Thermal damage which is the primary or secondary weakness of most NPCs.
Use Minmatar or Caldari drones against Angel NPCs.

- Use a MicroJumpDrive, not an Afterburner.
The reason is, the MJD will give you instant distance... allowing you to come to a stop, set up your Sentry drones, and pick off targets as they come to you.
The Afterburner is only effective at "mitigating" damage when you are in motion... which is a problem when you have stationary Sentry drones out.

Also adding to Shah,

You don't want to use DLA's, They only increase your drone control ranges. Since your using Sentries, you'll keep near them closing though to pull them in when you need to then MJD away from NPC's and relaunch them. Making 4 DLA's unnecessary.

Actually... a Drone Link Augmentor makes sense if you are using Sentries and engaging at long range (but up to a point).

To explain: You can only command your drones to attack a target that is within drone control range of YOU. The drones will obey a command regardless of their range from you and/or the target (unless they are absurdly far away).

To put it in picture form:
http://imgur.com/BEuyuvV

Basically... if you are 100km out from a target... and your drone control range is only 82km... you will want a Drone Link Augmentor as it extends drone control range and allows you to command your drones to engage farther out.

And yes... it is a little strange to wrap your head around... but you can do amazing things once you understand it. Blink

Your fittings have been adorable. It reminds me of when I started playing and lost a Cyclone in a level 2. Anyway,

You really shouldn't need 4 DLA. Three should be sufficient for sniping. Or two with a drone control range rig. These determine how far from your ship your drones can be commanded to attack a target. You really don't need the salvager, and the tractor is suspect also. Just come back to your mission pockets in a dedicated salvaging ship after you have finished and cashed out the mission. You do this by bookmarking a spot in each mission pocket.

Getting rid of the salvager and tractor will allow you to fit some guns. These can supplement your dps and also help to draw rat agro off of your drones.

Two omnis should be sufficient. And replace the afterburner with a Micro jump drive. Then you can fit a cap injector or battery in the open slot. Or an eccm if you are fighting guristas.

Replace the plate in your low slots with another drone damage amp. Your ship is still probably overtanked. But as a new player and with less developed skills and experience it is probably wise to have it so.

Train tech II sentrys. Leave tech II heavys for last. The damn things are like cows lumbering from one target to the next. Lose too much time doing missions with them.

Have fun.

This is why you let the baddies get close to the farm before opening up the corral.

Stampeding Heavies are effective at short range. Twisted

Republic Fleet Bouncer x5

Federation Navy Iron Charge M x9584
Scan Resolution Script x1
ECCM Script x1

Far from perfect, but stable. It can safely tank four pirate battleships at close range.
The two key details to this fit are keeping good range between my ship and my targets, and the faction sentry drones, Federation Navy Gardes for short to medium range targets and Republic Fleet Bouncers for long range targets. The faction sentries are more expensive than Tech 2 sentries but you can use faction sentries with the same skills as the normal Tech 1 sentries, and the faction sentries have a much stronger tank than even the Tech 2 sentries, meaning the faction sentries can take the heaviest beating before popping than any other sentry drone.

With my skills for the Dominix, plus this fit, the faction sentries all have over 9500 hp. I should probably replace the drone durability rig with a drone damage rig.

As for drone weapon range, without any scripts the Federation Gardes have an optimal range of 29 km and a falloff of 30 km. The Republic Bouncers have an optimal range of 59 km and a falloff range of 54 km. Two T2 Drone Link Augmenters is enough to take full advantage of the Republic Bouncer's range. Whatever you're trying to accomplish with four drone link augs in level 3 missions is a mystery to me.

You have three Omnidirectional Tracking Links. Get rid of at least one of them. get a Tracking Speed script and an Optimal Range script. Use the tracking speed script in one tracking link, and the optimal range script in the other. You will have better tracking and weapon range on all your drones, and you'll free up a mid slot for something more useful. Notice, I only use 1 Omnidirectional Tracking Link.

Keeping range. An afterburner won't give you enough speed to maintain a comfortable range with your targets. that's why I don't have an afterburner, I have a micro warp drive. I can get almost 1000 meters per second in this fit, although it does take a while to get to that speed. Micro warp drives use a lot more cap than an afterburner, which is why I have two cap rechargers, and a cap recharging rig as well. That may seem excessive, but I have found myself needing to use the armor repairer and the micro warp drive at the same time. I'd rather have more cap recharge than I need instead of not enough. An alternative to a micro warp drive is a micro jump drive, but once you've used it, there is a cooldown before you can use it again. A micro warp drive doesn't have that restriction. Mico jump drives also move your ship a fixed distance, if you want to move a distance significantly different to that, micro jump drives are not so useful.

I'm not using an armor plate. I don't need one. For missioning, this fit will stand up to all but the heaviest level 4 mission damage. I'm still not 100% sold on the Reactive Armour Hardener. On one hand, it simplifies my tank fit, I don't need to change between specific hardeners. On the other hand, it doesn't gave as much resistance as a specific hardener. I'm still making my mind up about it, but so far it's performing OK for me.

The medium blasters. These are my third attempt at finding a turret fit that I'm happy with, and I'm still not happy. I've tried autocannon (800mm and twin 650mm) with tracking bonused ammo and I'll probably try something else in the near future. I suppose I could drop the EWAR drones and the repair drone and carry a set of light drones for any small ships that get too close for the Gardes to track, and go for heavier turrets with more range, but the whole point of having a micro warp drive in this fit is to burn away from targets getting close, open up some space to them and pop them before they're close enough to start orbiting me and evade my sentries. I'm leaning towards dropping one of the mid-slot cap rechargers, using a turret tracking module with a tracking speed script and medium range turrets.
