Why do all forum posts end up like this? i fly gall and min on this char, and caldari on my other
And one thing that is obvious is all this MY SHIP IS UBER LEET YOURS IS FAIL, is a load of rubbish.

Are you really going to fight an arty boat with rails? or are you going to get in something faster and take it out?.

all ships tend to be great in there role's the rohk and naga are great sniper boats, but also decent blaster boats and can out range there gallante counterparts just kite them!.

min are not as good as people constantly say, its just alot more people fly them, and for what there used for there fine you dont take a tristan against a rifter because it has the range and speed advantage, you take a incursis.

every race has the right equipment to take on what is thrown at them, so stop moaning and actualy think about what your trying to do, and where the weapons excel, i meen artys have a horrible re-fire rate, you miss one shot and you lose alot of dps, rails and beams are faster.

so to answer the op, and most the other posters, caldari and every other race are perfectly viable for pve and pvp. fly smart.

No, you do say stupid things. First, the ships don't need fixing.

You all just need to get over your spoiled attitude flying over tanked Drakes and lobbing heavy missiles to ridiculous distances for a medium hull. No gun boat puts out that damage at range without tech II ranged ammo and slots devoted to tracking mods.

Your guns are fine. Starbuckington is showing you how you can get blaster range that allows the shield resist fittings to make you viable. If anything the CCP attempt to give you that blaster viability screws even further the ridiculous range superiority of rails. Aslo, the Amarr ships you whine about have to fit plates and resists that conflict with damage mods and the need to get close fast. The Minmatar ships about which you whine even more perform better shield tanked than armor tanked and then they have no base 5% resist bonus (and you want 10% per level Lol).

What planet do you come from that you think CCP would just give Caldari ships each an extra mid and more slots than other races? Any person who looks at the ship slots of all races without some stupid rl attachment to an EVE race can see that CCP prefers to keep those at a static total unless they have a special case (see Scorpion, Domi, and their ilk). One exception is the Cyclone, but then oh yeah split weapons and the slots mandate the split weapons. And it's not like Cyclones are out there murdering Brutix and Ferox and Prophecy because noone is flying any of those ships anyway. The extra high only becomes a possible problem with the Sleip and that's because it isn't forced into split weapons. But that is a whole other topic.

Hybrids just got a buff. We now have alliances such as PL fielding Rokh fleets. They've already been fielding Tengu fleets. ANd of course less wealthy (in sp and isk) alliances continue to field cheap but effective Drake fleets (the only other BC fleets have been Cane and they are for a more specialized role). Caldari pvp is not gimped. You are just too focused on mythical one-on-one pvp. And, what makes that mythical? Why the Falcon alt of course.

So, really stop whining and spewing ridiculous suggestions like more slots for Caldari and 10% resist bonuses.Roll

If you care to try some configs you'll know thats possible.

Megapulse + Scorch is a base range of 50 + 1 Tracking Enhancer and you have ~60km, as far as 'three tracking computers' goes.

You claim to fly a Tachyon Abaddon? Then surely you realise that beams don't use Scorch. You can't use pulses in your beam vs rail argument you idiot.
