Windows 10 New Snap Features
First, let’s talk about Windows 10 because it has some really nice new features for working with multiple windows on the same desktop. As you already know, you can simply drag a window to the far left or far right of the screen and Windows will automatically resize that window to fill half the screen.

The same is true for Windows 10, but now there is a new Snap Assist feature that also shows you the extra windows on the opposite side as thumbnails and lets you click on them to fill the other side of the screen. In Windows 7 & 8, you had to manually snap the second window into place too.

Anyone use the built in features or do you use out software to run eve online to resize the screens ?

Use multiple monitors. Eve on one screen and spreadsheets/dotlan on the other.

The thing is you run into problems with running 2 clients on one standard 1080p even with all these screen snapping tools as the minimum Eve client size is 1024x768 and a standard screen is 1920x1080 so that does not even let you get 2 clients up without some overlapping.

Currently the best solution for having multiple clients and other things on one screen is to get a 28 inch 4k display which allows 4 1080p clients on it at once, yes the UI is a bit smaller unless you scale it up but that's the price you have to pay if you want more than one thing at a time on the screen.

Ultra widescreen x2

3 clients 1720 x 1440.
1 more 1720x1440 for another client or browsing.

Win 8 had the snapping feature too.

Personally I have two 1940x1080p monitors, run in windowed mode and have a client on each.
I use a few 3rd party sites that's handy to have snapped to half of one of the screes so when they're in use they're only covering half of a client on one screen, no need to alt tab as you can just click back on the client whenever needed
Yeah it's quite handy when you're talking two or three clients, anything more than 4 and I imagine things would get a bit much for just snapping left or right, assuming we're still talking two monitors.

I have a desktop manager where I can script the behaviour about tailing or relocating windows in lua. so basically I start all clients and they auto-arrange on my screens the way I told them to.

It's not on Windows 10

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

I use tripple monitor setup sometimes, but while I feel pretty confident with multi tasking in general I find that in the heat of an intense battle or oh sh!t moments, I sometimes completely forget about the second or third monitornand get my eyes glued to the main screen. I know it's an issue with my own ability/limitations so it's not a 'multi scree problem', but I'm planning for ultrawide monitors which I think suits me better. I tried them quite a few times and I feel that I am more aware of the whole single screen than when using two separate monitors.

The one Ralph linked from Samsung is very nice, but one should also look at the LG ultrawide option, as they are also very nice and similar price range. I'm lucky enough that there are both big Samsung store and LG store near my work place, so I frequently check them out and drool.

My dream would be if LG released OLED Ultrawide screen. Every time I go to LG shop and see their OLED TV I'm mesmerised @.@

Cheers Love! The cavalry's here!
