I am doing this project for the Finaka tourist bureau and wanted to share what I had written down for them so far from our family library. Some of this might be wrong but it is a pretty basic guide to a main part of Khanid

Finaka is often called the Gateway to Khanid, because most travellers from Amarr Prime come through there, it is very scenic and is the oldest colonized constellation in Khanid.

The region of Khanid was colonized early on and is still called the Marches, and our King is called The Lord of the Marches. It's a special title. I know most outsiders don't understand how the Amarr and Khanid relationship is, it seems really confusing, but it's simple, we have been friends for thousands of years and that will never change. The Khanid have always known their place and have a staunch identity as the guardians of Amarr. The Khanid started out in the true religion as volunteers for the vanguard and this position we have maintained for like, forever. That's why the Khanid specialize in experimental military technology because that is our purpose as a people, to support the tip of the Reclamation sword.

Finaka is also referred to as "The Nine Gates" or "The Nine Gates of Khanid" and in ancient times there was a cult that believed when the first stargate was being build from Masanuh to Ervekam it would lead to an apocalypse for some reason and monsters would invade us, well that never happened obvi. Later on (actually pretty recently) the Gousaviba gate was built by the Tash-Murkon family to make a convenient route to Khanid Prime, it's also referred to locally as the Horse Gate, which is really obscure basically it has to do with the shape of the Khanid region which looks like a running Warhorse on the old maps, (edit actually still looks like this on the star map on any starship with a default app) Gousaviba didn't fit inside the horse but it's in front of the horse. So it's the Horse gate. Horses are an old creature of Earth some say is mythological it represents speed, technology, beauty and wealth. In some propaganda the horse was used as a symbol of the reunion with the Amarr Empire, as you all know the Tash-Murkon family was instrumental in making that happen so the new Empress to be has a lot of Khanid support. Some people think that the Khanid and Tash-Murkon are at odds but this isn't the reality and it never was, Amarr as a whole is very much a family and although there are some arguments between the Great Holders we're family and are very close in God.

So in Finaka each of the nine stars has an old name that has to do with its nature. One used to be able to visit each gate from one to the other but this has changed slightly.

1. Ervekam: Called the Dark Gate after the Khanid. There is a temperate planet here but it is not habitable I can't remember why but no one lives on it.
2. Yezara: Called the Majesty Gate it is not a tourist destination because the planets are restricted to holders only. The system is so named because it has a very pretty pink star and has a clear view of some of the nebulas in the area
3. Mashtarmem: Called the Luna Gate, although not sure why This has a jungle planet which is a major tourist destination because it is not deeply developed but it has very expensive resorts and tourism. It is super warm and tropical and the atmosphere is breathable. The other planet is much more deeply developed and super weird, with very unusual plants and animals and alot of major robotics and implants corps are located here, in fact the government will not allow stations in the system because of this as it is too easy to take them over and launch an attack from a station. Most people think of Mastarmem when they here about Khanid or Finaka.
4. Saloti: Called the Blue Sandstorm Gate because of its fairly inhospitable planets, three desert, three gas, a storm and plasma planet. It has a beautiful blue star, very bright which colors everything near it bright blue.
5. Kahah: Called the Red Ocean Gate originally this became a problem when the Blood Raiders tried to take it over a long time ago and they started calling it the Blood Ocean Gate and so most people call it the Ocean Gate now. It has a red star and the most ocean worlds of any in empire space. It is also the primary home of my family, House Akaya. A lot of people get excited about the idea of ocean worlds but you can't go swimming in any of them they are mostly all boiling hot or have some kind of problem. :\ They are very useful for other things though which I can't talk about here.
6. Sehsasez: Called the Eye gate some people thought that was heretical for a while and they renamed it although I am not sure why. Some people call it the Heretic gate but that's just some propaganda because of some family drama atm it isn't any kind of tradition.
7. Osis: Called the Holiness gate it is very pretty with a bright white star that looks like an angel.
8. Geztic: Called the Knight gate it used to be a staging area for the Khanid Navy back in the day a long long time ago and even to this day there are a ton of Cyberknight families in the system on Geztic III. Lots of new technology is researched here and because of this it is mandated there are no stations in the system.
9. Hishai: Called the Seraphim gate this system has a lot of military families living here as well as the largest temple in Finaka. The gate is so named because its symbol is a royal angel from one of the old families probably and because of the star which has wings of light.

From Hishai most people are headed either to Khanid Prime or Keberz.

There is only one public station in all of Finaka and that is in Kahah. Even though it isn't decreed for systems except Geztic and Mashtarmem, but some holder families thought it was a good idea because they are paranoid so if you want to stop by without going through planet security you can stop in Kahah and check out the Cyberknight club on level 10.

Please state corrections if you find any. I am not allowed to reveal Holder families but if you would like to say something about your family history in Finaka please pitch in and I will add this to the brochures we will be passing out at the tourist center in Kahah

Someone better than me at translating says the gate doesn't mean Blue Sandstorm, it means something else but it doesn't translate well from old Khanid. It means something like Mysterious Blue Cylindrical Dirt Tube, which doesn't make any sense, so I just left it like that, as I don't think that is right.

Well, you know what they say, Mr. Rova. People that visit just can't leave!

On another note, Mysterious Blue Cylindrical Dirt Tube is an amazing name. Old Khanid is beautiful!

Our slaves are really happy, Father and Mother are so so nice to them and they get to keep all of their children and have their own houses, plus after they are reformed and converted to the True Religion they are given a home and a job in any of our companies that they want to work in. My old nanny still lives with us even though she is free to do what she likes, AND she gets paid a salary. So you don't judge us by some problems you had with some blooders like Nipple-less Father cracked down really hard on the people running the slave markets at Khanid Transport even though it's in Kahah it isn't even our jurisdiction it's the crown's, we just have some offices and a club there but its RENTED from them we don't own the station. Also he hasn't been back if he did we would shoot him out of the sky screw CONCORD.
