Response cloudy, ask again later.

I'm going to build a big wall that will keep the Gallente out, and they're going to pay for it!

At least wait for the devblog. The only thing CCP have told us about industrial arrays since Fanfest is that they are going to call them engineering complexes instead and name them after famous NPC industrialists. Not much to base a decision on!

I was wondering if POS are gonna be obsolete soon, I was going to buy a bpo to build one but held out because I wasn't sure what's going on.

How likely is it the group that destroyed your POS will do the same to your next one?

Yeah. For me, I'd probably figure out the chance of destroying it again and moving the location somewhere else (unless it's like a certain type of moon) and be done with it. But honestly, it's really up to you. Like I did a small 5 man corp and had our own POS and everything. All we did was build out of it what we could. It was fun while it lasted.

It was in high-sec. I fell for the "one-person corp" facade.

It was a professional tower-killing set of corps.

I'm told that because it was faction it was "juicy."

I'd pulled most things except longer-term research projects. Leaving those was a gamble which I lost.

If anything, buy a single-run BPC.
We haven't had any news about how the buy-back for POS blueprints or components will work, but I'd guess that for BPOs it would be NPC price, not NPC + research costs.

I wish I knew how people came to the conclusion their pos will suddenly be worthless.

You'll be able to set up your [pos function], get attacked, rebuild, get attacked again, rebuild, switch alliances, have your sov taken, re-take sov, rebuild, get attacked again, switch back to the original alliance, and rebuild once more before pos's even get announced to be fully removed. Hows that sound.

Wardec's aside, theres your answer.

The one thing CCP needs to stop doing is making old content or parts obsolete.

Don't kid yourselves. Even the dirtiest pirates from the birth of EVE have been carebears. They use alts to bring them goods at cheap prices and safely, rather than live with consequences of their in game actions on their main, from concord to prices

I can't say much as OPSEC; we've been wardec'd for nearly a week now.

I will say that I've seen a number of other people's bad POS setups go boom. [I've been following them around.]

Tip: Shield hardeners are subject to a stacking penalty that doesn't appear on the tower UI. Resists alone will not save your tower. You also better have an online presence 24/7, and be prepared to defend in some manner. I swapped my implants out for cheaper ones, and insured my sacrificial PvP ships, with the only expectation that I'll be as annoying as possible in my POS defense before I explode.

If you get a wardec by a one-man corp that has just been created, beware. That is a really unusual tactic, and it just screams alarms (now that I am listening).

Also beware of phony ally offer contracts. If it looks too good to be true, it is.

there are 2 reasons why anyone would shoot your pos in hs, they want your moon or they want loot

you can't do all that much if they just want your spot but if they are just loot seeking then there is very easy stuff you can do

a large tower is extremely good since its a **** ton of hp and you can fit a lot of guns, medium is ok. small is pretty bad

get some warp disruptors, some webs, some ecm and some guns on your tower, put ammo into guns and go into manage setting of the pos and set them up so they shoot war deccers and enemies.

get some hardeners on it as well and try to get as close to 50% resists as you can over all the profiles, EM/therm is most important since most people will bash with lazer ships because it takes a lot of time to bash stuff but don't only stack em/therm hards just make it all as close to 50% as possible without going overboard with hardeners since stacking penalties is a thing

You have to cancel jobs to do that.

That can get very expensive, plus there can be significant lost time.

As apposed to knowing they going to hit it cause you could see it in their kill mails and you knowing you can't defend it by yourself ?
You right, your option was the cheaper option Ugh
