ahh yes i had forgotten, been so long since i had the 5 bpc run.

as long as they give 1isk value ships then its not really a huge issue, though I still like the idea of bpc's to encourage people to get involved in some industry, and as a boost to miners. Imagine all the mineral sales if they handed out true bpc's and then the ships would have value for insurance.

Just a thought, but as I said I appreciate what ccp is trying to do.

I agree with you, in principle; I just want to point out the recent Citadel expansion. 1 free ship BPC would probably buff industry .0001% in comparison to the huge number of new capital modules which were introduced: on the 1 to 10 scale, I think they dialed it to 11.

With current stats it will be too weak and too expensive for the combat, so it would be surely my new salvaging boat instead of catalist ;) High sec usage only. With 4 hard points and 4 drones it will be way too weak even with 4 mids and 4 lows. If it would cost 2-5 milions it could be used in combat but I do not expect the price to settle that low...

I think it will be easy to fit Sunesis to warpout below 2s, add 600m3 cargo bay and 4 mids.

P.S. I don't like drone skills imbalance between Amarr/Gallente and Caldari/Minmatar too.

Says who.... I don't see CCP saying that this is an exclusive offer now and will never be released again. It's just the current gift and may be a future gift.
Also people risk 30-40 mil ships in PvP all the time, why wouldn't they, it's chump change to anyone who has an account feeding isk to the PvP account. And even for an alpha clone you make that isk in short order.

I love this! I've waited for so long to see a true exploration-destroyer showing up. Sure, I'd like to have one as a regular ship instead of a one-time gift, but I'll take it.

I'm hoping a lot of people are stupid enough to flood the markets with the Sunesis, because if this happens, I'll stock up with enough of them to last the rest of my biological life, even if I lose one every week.

I don't think the decision will be obvious at all.

With the 1 billion isk you save for not having to plex your account you can buy 28 of these at 35 mill. Assuming they cost that much (because ccp is saying they will give these away at special occassions so I don't think they will cost nearly as much as gnosis.) Or you can spend that billion isk on a plex to be able to fly it with slightly better skills and t2 guns and drones.

honestly.....SoCT ships never really interested me. im happy to see that there are new ships coming to the game i was just hoping for something a little more...skill intensive. however dont get me wrong the new destroyer is beautiful and all.
