CCP really only have themselves to blame with this, what with the removal of the IGB (which was, IMO, intrinsically useful while playing)

If things like this become a big enough problem with alpha clones CCP is going to have to start looking into bans that extend beyond an "account" to an IP address/email address/etc most likely.

Fun times ahead for team security - I don't envy them.

This isn't enough.

EVE players (or at least, the less computer aware and/or dilligent ones) are probably among the best demographic for cybercrimes like Cryptolocker ransoms.

The criminals behind those can afford to spoof IPs easily, and email addresses are already free.

An outright client-enforced ban on trial accounts/alpha clones posting links, AND an outright ban on anyone that hasn't paid CCP at least once via a verified Paypal or CC should probably be considered.

It's not like you cannot play EVE without posting links.

I support the New Order and CODE. alliance.
