Hi,

I'm a relatively new player and have been going the tourist route of PvE to learn about the game and how to play it.

I was aware of sleeper sites, having run head first into one early on. To the best of my knowledge, these are clue words that what you've found is a sleeper site:

1. Unsecured
2. Forgotten

I hit a site this morning that turned out to be a delay sleeper site called an Improved Sansha Data Site. This one's new to me.

I wanted to start this thread to a give PvE people a place to add other clues and keywords they may have come across. If we share these, my hope is to improve the experience for all of us explorers.

What you found was actually a "Ghost" site.

Normal sleeper sites are only found in wormhole-space.

There is also a "Sleeper Cache" site, available in limited, standard, and superior flavors. These are special hacking sites with some environmental traps and triggers, and are found everywhere, but are distinctly different from the normal, WH-only sleeper sites.

Identifying normal sleeper sites is quite easy. Here's how to tell:
1. You're in a wormhole space system (System name is Jxxxxxx. Or Thera, I suppose.)
2. The site name does NOT include the name of a normal pirate faction (Sansha, Blood Raider, Angel, Serpentis, Gurista).

And that's about it. Even the ore sites will generally have a few sleeper rats in them.

Indeed, although their appearance is generally delayed by 15-20 minutes IIRC; you're 4 or 5 cycles into a mountain of ore, suddenly sleepers!

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
