Erm what?

EVE is a game with ships. One of the main points of a game with ships is to not lose a ship. We are all facing the same environment, and yes, the people who figure out ways to not lose ships are superior to those (in terms of the game) that can't figure otu how to not lose ships.

We are playing a video game where machine guns work in space. Where lasers are visible in space. Where space ships using their own engines (ie no afterburner or MWD) fly slower than modern day 747 jumbo jets. Where every stitch of Armor has to be blown off before hull damage can occur. Where space has an up and a down and where spaceship instantly start to decelerate as soon as you turn a propulsion mod off etc etc etc.

In other words, it doesn't have to make sense to you. EVE is a game and bumping just 'is'.

If people think in the same scattershot and nonsensical way you do, you are probably right. THIS is why I've always said that it's good that EVE turns off most people, because TBH most gamers are nuts.

I disagree that the mechanic needs to be changed. If you pay attention, you will never be bumped

It seams to me that the New Order of Highsec has basically reached the "wallhax" level of awesomeness in EVE, given that every few days another thread pops up about how they should nerf a specific tactic we use.

Wherever you DON'T need to go through Uedama. Think about all hauling time and stress you will save.

People here are helpful, to people who want help.

Calling for a nerf because you died will get yourself made fun of. Saying how you died and asking how you could have prevented it will get you pages upon pages of very helpful advice. Ask how you can improve, don't suggest nerfs.

That isn't even remotely the problem. The problem is that he isn't the first to make these grievances known here. He is more likely the 2,801st to make this grievance known. Call it "my ship got blown up" or "bumping/bumpers suck" fatigue. This mechanic has existed since the game was released. The problem the OP and the 2,800 posters with identical complaints have is that there are some individuals that have found a way to turn that into content.

In the end, the disposition of the community in these matters should be seen less as combative and more as we're just tired of hearing this crap over and over again. Let that be known to the 2,802nd person that considers coming here to share their frustration with people that have already heard it.

Heya guys, I just got EVE and it's really confusing. I have played WoW for the last 5 years and just wanted a change. I have tried looking for online resources and I don't understand X, could anyone help please?


And then you get overwhelmingly responses like these
