I am reminded of an old Wendy's commercial with a very snarky old woman yelling "Where's the Beef?" over and over.....

For some reason I feel this way right now......so CCP ... Where's the Beef?

You first dropped some miner (pun intended) changes to the mining barges - basically you repainted them added a stripper or removed a stripper and told us "yaaay" New Stuff™. I do appreciate the new art, but would have preferred some more substantive things which i have already outlined in the feedback thread. So I won't drone on about it here.

Then you dropped a biggie - changes to ongrid boosting ....nice distraction :) Get tons of people up in arms over something they had been warned was coming for ages.

But what you really surprised me with was then dropping ALPHA CLONE...... This had the wondrous effect of distracting angry miners and pvp fanboi's from the two previous topics on to something that after one takes a good hard look at it, was quite alot of nothing. In fact sorta like taking trial accounts - slapping a new coat of paint on them and selling it off as "new" and innovative. Please don't get me wrong. I applaud these moves. Keeps people guessing.

But even after all these things - I am left asking myself "Where's the Beef?"

Where are the dev blogs about upcoming industrial changes?
Where are the industrial/research arrays?
Where are the dev blogs about the actual Rorq changes not just the on grid stuff?
When is cancer / svipul being cured?

The November dates are rapidly approaching, and even if they are not ready for SiSi it might be time to let us know the direction and give people a chance to think them over (whine and complain).

Now perhaps I am just hungry. Which tbh would not be far from the truth, but I would like some beef please....tofu and salad is just not cutting it right now.

1. The first DEV post about the industrial changes is out 3 more are announced, the whole thing will come in November

2. What do you want? Citadels are out. Alpha/Omega are comming, boosts are changing, mining ships got an overhaul (even if no so much changed), industrial changes are at the doorstep which will definitely have an impact on bases, Rorqual get changed. Fauxes are out, Capitals have changed a lot.

What the **** do you want? CCP is evolving Eve at a fast pace and you are crying for beef? Flown the new Fauxes, tested the new capital waepons, build a citadel? If not there is a lot for you to test out.

How much do you think a firm like CCP can deliver each year? This is CCP not Blizzard. And even Blizzard just cooks up a new class and some new areas in WOW each year plus some additional level up.
You are playing this game for 5+ years so the amount of new things is simply limited by the ability of CCP to create new contend. CCP does but it can never comped with a new game and the amount of new stuff there. I really detest all the mourning in Eve forums where people are always demanding more, better, faster stuff but they are unable to put down a post if something is good. Then they just play and mourn about something else.
I'm new, there is a lot of stuff waiting for me and CCP is adding cream on the cake: I'm happy!

What's come across in drips and drabs, and given the repercussions one very friendly, timely announcement had not oh so long ago, it's not surprsing we don't get things in floods (and that the feedback loop has been tightly constricted), especially with regard to industry visa vis the POS system (thus your arrays) is such a massive change is about to be implemented the game will be hardly reconizeable (mechanically) from the original. Not surprisingly several ground floor changes have been incrementally implemented over the course of what's now going on the past TWO years. The other shoe dropping, of course, is...when is that other shoe going to drop?

I don't think the beef you're after is the entree they have in mind. By inference, I think we were being expected to add a bit more roughage to our diets. However, that being said, something is in the offing...and from what I understand just from GD (here) it'll be more like a stream of somethings taking more than the next year to roll out...and this isn't just
eye candy.

I undestand your impatience, however. Being accustomed to Christmas once a month (the Golden Age of MMOs) this schedule of "updates" may be trying to the well-established neural-pathways. Time to create some more!

Btw, Svipul is being rebalanced in Nov release.

I usually don't call out the emperor's new cloths issue - opting to let someone else jump that shark. But you are spot on. After any amount of calm, sane, scrutiny of just what was really going on, it was a lot of ... well ... nothing.
