Brothers and sisters of the Faith, honored allies, friends and comrades.

This is the time of celebration and renewal. This is the time of rejoicing and praise. This is the time of gladness. Lady Catiz Tash-Murkon is soon to sit on the Sacred Throne of Holy Amarr. In the year since Empress Jamyl I was murdered, we have tasted the bitter ash of defeat. We have lived through the blackest night, but emerged into a new dawn of light and hope. Those that have threatened Holy Amarr have found our retribution righteous. The Light of God always shines away the darkness.

The Drifters have been beaten back into their wormholes. For months we have waited and watched, ever vigilant should they come back, but no more do they attack the Holy Amarr Empire. The Defense of the Throne Worlds campaign which began in Sarum Prime so many months ago is over! Amarr Victor!

Since the attack on the combined CVA and Amarr fleet in Sarum Prime, a show of support and loyalty to our late Empress Jamyl I, hundreds of pilots have fought back the invaders. From the first attacks in Sarum Prime and then Safizon, to the death of Her Majesty, to the Defense of the Throne Worlds campaign, we Amarr fought tooth and nail in defense of our home. The Caldari were there right alongside us, risking their crew and their ships. All of us have experienced loss and mourned. We take solace that our fallen rest in the Peace and Glory of God.

"Rejoice, o chosen of God"
For our blood fills this Valley of Death,
Proclaiming our sacrifice to God,
And he shall raise it up for all time"
- The Scriptures, Saint Junip 15:11

It is appropriate now in this time of celebration that we take the time to recognize all the brave pilots that flew against the Drifters. While hundreds of pilots fought bravely, a few groups stands out in the victory: capsuleers organized under Dogma, Phoenix Naval Systems, and numerous other partners of the Arataka Research Consortium. In addition to pushing back the Drifters’ incursions into the Throne Worlds, the ARC fleets also pushed into the Drifter Hives, bringing the fight to the enemy. Many have rightly credited the ARC fleets’ continuing pressure on a second front for ending the attacks on the Empire.

One woman stands out for her effort to lead and win against the Drifters. That woman is Lady Morwen Amauté Lagann Tyrathlion. Day after day, her implacable leadership kept the fleets steady against the foe. Day after day, the Drifters were pushed back, out of the Throne Worlds. Unlike some fleet commanders, hers was not a bloody stratagem. There were no massed suicide attacks against the Drifters. Ship and crew losses were incredibly light, with some days of the fighting seeing no friendly casualties.

In Bashyam, upon the defeat of the Drifter Incursion in the Fekhoya Constellation, a fight that saw the fleet victorious with no friendly losses, the pilots of the fleet and the crew joined in one unequivocal affirmation and acclamation of Lady Tyrathlion as Imperatrix, a leader of impeccable standard, one without whom our victory would not have been possible.

Unlike other titles in Amarr, which are bestowed from above, the title of Imperator, or the feminine Imperatrix, is acclaimed from the troops of an Admiral or General. It is the men and women on the front lines that recognize the brilliance of their commander and honor them. It is from this tradition that the rank Imperator Commander in the 24th Imperial Crusade comes from. This is a well deserved honor for Lady Tyrathlion.

In recognition of her efforts, and all the pilots that fought the Drifters, there is to be a Triumph in Sarum Prime, the site of the first concerted Drifter attack. There shall be a short ceremony to honor Lady Morwen Amauté Lagann Tyrathlion, Holder of the Tyrathlion Estates, Imperatrix of the Throne Worlds Defense Fleets and a celebration for all of our victory.

Amarr Victor!

When: September 25th, 2000 NEST
Where: Sarum Prime, Cathedral of the Resurrection citadel
Who: All those that have fought against the Drifters, from Sarum Prime, to Safizon, to Lower Debyl, to Bashyam are invited to parade in their ships, preferably ones that fought Drifters. All others are invited to attend.

While it is most certainly a good thing that attacks against the Empire by the Drifters have ceased, I would exercise caution in claiming victory outright. It goes without saying that the Drifters are a mysterious, and vastly capable force. To allude to the idea that we have somehow inflicted devastating losses upon them is a bit...naive.

Regardless, I commend ARC and pilots who have flown with ARC for their continued efforts into probing and understanding the Drifter threat. May you celebrate well, and remember the lives of all those who have perished fighting the Drifters.

Lavius-haan;

It's worth noting that the Defense of the Throne Worlds campaign was undertaken by a variety of groups, including Ciniel's Dogma Project, PNS's Drifter Fight Club, and Specter Fleet's 'What Drifters?.' The most stalward of these were certainly the Dogma Project and PNS's Drifter Fight Club, and Coordinator Lagann flew with both of them, frequently coordinated these groups, and often commanded the PNS operations in the field.

ARC's efforts fall under the Drifter Fight Club header, and used methods developed by Ciniel.

As for declarations of victory, well, I shall leave that to the Amarr. The impression I get is that this is a season of celebration, given the ascension of the new empress.

I share Holy Mother Amalath's joy in our successes over the Drifters. There is much to celebrate as she has said. While I shall gladly join in such celebrations, I will add that I am not entirely convinced we have seen the last of them. But for the time being, Amarr Victor!

Now on to other matters...

I have known Morwen Lagann for some time. On seldom occasion have I had much good to say of her. I admit now it is due greatly to my own stubbornness. I have witnessed her transition away from the lawlessness of her past to come to the Faith, become Stewardess of a House of the Kingdom, and finally to become the recognized Holder of said House. I don't know if I shall ever lose my reservations, but I cannot deny Morwen Lagann's path is that of Amarr.

You are deserving of the accolades of your pilots and of this honor.

God's blessings upon you and your House, Lady Morwen Amauté Lagann Tyrathlion, Imperatrix of the Throne Worlds Defense Fleets.

A most worthy celebration of a most worthy champion of a most worthy cause. SFRIM representation will be present with bells on.

There is nothing we can do to change what happened a year ago, Amarr must move on and those responsible have been dealt a crippling blow as far as we can see. So yes, Amarr Victor. For now.

As far as you can see is the optimum word. After all, no intelligence network detected the strike that took out Jamyl Sarum. What if the Drifters are sorting pieces for another victorious strike?

It is entirely possible. However, we can also play 'what if' games till the end of time and never see such an attack again.

I believe there is a saying... 'peace is only a prelude to war'. Should we not still strive for peace and enjoy it when it is accomplished? Of course this question goes to others than Mr Cetes, as enjoying life is not something in his programming or some such nonsense.

Poor drifters.

You can't prevent loss that's already occured. What you can do is travel to the lair of the enemy and put your boots to them - this has been done.

I share reservations that this state of affairs represents less the beginning of the end than the end of the beginning, but retribution has definitely been wrought and it is very nice to see Morwen get the recognition she rightly deserves.

Even if she is too sarcastic for her own good.

By the way, some of the ships that were used to take on the Drifter Battleships are Bellicoses and Scythes. Majority of ships used are Caracals. Just a heads up.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Who said she owns slaves? She might, of course, but nowhere has that been explicitly stated.

Drifters blindside the Amarr with a hell of a ***** slap, then the cluster as a whole goes and pokes a few drifter dens and the Amarr are the winners? One hell of a pyrrhic victory if you ask me...

I want to paint my ship Periwinkle.
