porpoise? how about a command mining destroyer...for mining frigates

with the porpoise coming, an alliance mate brought up the idea of a command destroyer for mining.
unless the porpoise IS a dezzy? then this post is null and void.
if not, then here is an idea:

to go along with the endurance and the prospect, it would be awesome to have a command dezzy from ORE that cloaks and mines. it might not get cov ops cloak, no worries...but just to have the same setup as the endurance would be awesome.

it would allow ninja mining in enemy territory and wh. gas sites, ice, ore..doesnt need a bonus, just the ability to fit any of these miners and use a single link like the new command dezzies.

let it have a much larger hold since its dezzy sized. same bonuses as normal command dezzies.
or give it a small bonus to gas and or ice/ore, whatever. it would just have more high slots for a link, cloak and a few gas harvestors or miners.

i know it wont make nov patch, just wanting to put a bug in your ear about it.

Destroyers are combat-only ships, where everything unnecessary is replaced with weapons.
I would rather call this a command Noctis or a discount Orca.

If you want an intelligent argument, please do, I'm up for it!

I'm pretty sure another Prospect miner would be more efficient that a few miners and a small boosting shp.

tomatoes-tomahtoes. a frigate is a military vessel, yet we have mining "frigates"

agreed, if there is only 1-2 ships. but if it mines AND boosts as i have suggested, it IS another prospect or endurance...

look, if a frigate can hold 15k, a dezzy can too.
give it a cloak, a link, couple harvestors or some sort and a cargo hold. let it fly... not a hard concept.

...but what would that 15k ore hold actually achieve? Is this thing exclusively for mining mercoxit or something?

its a mini orca that cloaks and mines.

would be smaller than the upcoming porpoise. its just a size bigger than a mining frigate and gives mining bonuses. you can put any link on it, but it gets bonuses to mining. just like any other command destroyer has specialize roles (information, armor, etc.) this is for mining.

I can see a few balance issues with one as well, Plus to be honest i dont really see the need for it, Ninja mining is becoming a playstyle of its-own but i dont forsee it becoming the sort of thing it would need boosts for

i can see a place for a dessi sized booster and i had thought the new one was supposed to be it. CCP mentioned adding one to accompany frig sized shattered holes.

while i can see a place for it I do not see a need we just send the current command destroyers in to boost and that works fine. it's not like you need orca level boosts when you are running these sites.

Cloaks to!

It's like it's meant to obsolete every other ship around it.

Just make it have 2 high slots, so you have to choose between link/s, Cloak and mining.

Yeah because a ship that can do everything just not technically all at once is a concept that has worked well for eve so far....
