I think that there is too much hatred in the igs so I think that we should aleavate that with a pleasant thread let's talk about what we do when not in our cappsules just think of something non- violent ish when I am out of my pod I usually am tinkering with dropsuits and clone soldier weapons.

Do you still do clone soldier work?

So, I've recently been spending a lot of time organizing and overseeing the renovation of a certain vineyard Saisio-side.

Maker, but I never realized how much work this sort of thing was.

I am still working on my little project to make ships crew-independent. It's alot of work, since it requires not only the application of automation technology on ships that do not come with said technology as stock. I have to redesign hardpoints to allow for nanite-nozzle sprays, add redundancies where they aren't any, use self-repairing materials where I can, design repair drones and algorithms to be more adaptive without going into smart AI territory, rework entire ship architectures without adding more noticeable mass, work on power routing systems to make sure everything gets enough power while maintaining exactly the same usable power for all the other vital modules, come up with new nanomachines to act as molecular assemblers to fix up wear and tear damage on ship systems that aren't swappable modules, nanite-alloy (mimic enzyme-substrates), etc. All the while I have to make use of technologies that are already available and keep costs down.

The work includes studying biology, especially on topics of immunology and homeostasis. I believe that biological systems are the most robust self-repairing and self-maintaining systems available and seek to emulate that. I also believe that with what we already have, we can mimic this same system. The goal is not to make the ship being able to survive anything in perpetuity, but to be able to make use of available materials supplied to her to maintain and repair herself without crew involvement (up to a limit. I do not expect her to be able to repair hull breaches across several bulkheads on her own, just like how we can't fix broken bones properly on our own).

Other than that, I take walks, read, make coffee or tinker with the coffee machine, work on the environment regulation system for our, eh, Dominix patch (insistent terminology. Isi insists in calling the crops that), and doting over Isi, criticising Isi's attempts at art (she insists on it), and getting dragged around to some festival or exhibition or other by Isi.

Building a house. Keeping in shape. The Foundation, of course.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Outside the capsule? Well, I'm mostly into learning more about meditative tantric shamanism and learning more about Voluval techniques. Either that or listening to G-pop bands and staying up way too late watching indie holofilms.

They say that if you want to get a million ISK from a vineyard you had better start with ten million. :-)

I'd be interesting in staying in the loop on this. I have a cousin at RMS who's doing a thesis on capsuleer craft automation and she's come up with some crackerjack ideas so far (mostly using my venture as her very own lab rat). I think she could benefit from hearing more about your work and I'll make sure she sees this post.

Maker, but it's true. I some day long to be able to lounge lazily among the vines and drink some of the fruit of my own work (relatively speaking), but for now it's somewhere this side of camping and that side of civilization.

I'm putting out financial and bureaucratic fires within the clan much more often than I'd like, but eh, whatcha gonna do? Duty calls, mostly when you'd rather be doing something more interesting.

On a more pleasant note, I've been spending a lot of time getting in trouble with Keita and crazy Krusals of Hek 4 and studying up on some clan history with my sister and some cousins, which has started to lead to a wider examination of the early economic history of the Republic. I've also been getting into some classic colonial-era Vherokior lament poetry, and of course I love any chance to do some of the traditional tribe and clan dancing as well. I've also been acting as a friendly ear to my brother as he takes his first steps awkward steps into capsuleer life (and having lots of good laughs while I'm at it).

It is going to take a while to gather all my notes and blueprints. You know how engineers are. Our workshops tend to look like a storm just went through.
