How does FW affect the map?

Pretty straightforward question, if it even does affect anything.

But also I was wondering if there was any way directly or indirectly that players could have an affect on the meta-narrative of the game. I didn't know if it would be interesting or not if you could buy completely non-material things in the LP Store that could have some affect like a voucher for a vote for example, a voucher for a Brutor tribe election that could have minor affects throughout systems (tax rates, campaigns against pirates, FW locations, etc.)

You are asking about one of the major things that we in FW bring up ad nauseum in just about every FW thread.

There are currently Zero (0) consequences for losing FW space and the story-line hasn't moved since CCP fired/re-assigned the people responsible for it .. ie. no movement in 30+ months.

FW = Big wardec with super lucrative (for something not in null) missions.

For some, if not most, of the FW monkeys that is enough but it could be so much more. There should be repercussions when space is won/lost and the Empire's should recognize the work being done, good or bad .. what we bicker a lot about is how bad losing space should hurt and vice versa.

CCP dropped the ball, but they have promised to pick it back up if the can manage to find it Smile
