Heavy pulses used to sound like heavy mechanically operated capacitors getting dumped through meter diameter copper coils into a projection array. The metal on metal grinding of the coils slamming against the reinforced nodes of the weapons capacitors gave the cannons some much needed auditory weight to accompany the thermal rays emitted through their focusing lenses.

Now they sound like a wet fart.

Just look at this. There is something more in these turret sounds. Maybe a bit of refining would be needed.

If i had to choose I'd pick these sounds any day

I also miss the old megapulse sound.

I really miss the old tachyon animation and sound.


Some sniper blob FC must have gotten tired of his pilots turning up the turret noise to the point where they couldn't hear the FC over the sound of reality being disassembled by tachyon beams, and prayed long and hard to BoB to nerf turret noises.

Just my 2 isk theory.

Laser sounds are an exciting sound produced inside our capsule to make fights easier to follow and more fun. It's not the gun making the sound as you can't hear anything outside of your capsule being plugged in and all. It's just something the capsule software does. They should def bring it back and let us modify it into any sound we want.

I want a squeaky toy sound.
