Greetings, capsuleers and tournament enthusiasts!

The fourteenth Alliance Tournament is less than two months away, and that means that the Golden Masque is ready to continue the tradition of hosting a viewing party as it has for other capsuleer tournaments over the last several years.

The Alliance Tournament's three weekends of intense small-gang combat begin on the first of October; with the Golden Masque's central holosphere uniquely designed for events like these, and what could be trillions in prizes on the line, you don't want to miss this yearly event! Bring your corpmates and friends, grab a table (or two or even more - there's lots of space!), and support your favorite teams as they and their crews compete for fame and glory!

As with last year, the tournament is taking place over three weekends instead of four, and as a result the first weekend will be action-packed with two arenas hosting matches simultaneously. We are hoping that the Independent Gaming Commission and the Interstellar Services Department will reach an agreement similar to last year's, but no details on the subject have been released thus far. Once the information about the broadcast format for this year's Tournament becomes available, we'll make sure to update the thread in a timely fashion.

Update! (118/09/21) The IGC just announced the full schedule for the tournament. Matches will begin at approximately 12:00 NEST for the first weekend, and at 15:00 NEST for the second and third weekends. As there will be active data feeds for the first weekend's matches, the Masque will be opening for the first weekend at approximately 11:30 for the first weekend. For the second and third weekends, the doors will open around 14:30.

Some additional details:

Directions:
The Golden Masque is located in the noncapsuleer sections of the CONCORD Bureau station in Yulai, approximately halfway between the capsuleer docking berths and the Interbus transit hubs, and just outside the checkpoint to the capsuleer-only areas. For those unable to come to the Golden Masque in person, access to our holopresence system is available upon request. Just connect to the FTL 'channel' The Golden Masque. The event itself will begin approximately one hour before matches start, but the Golden Masque itself will be open prior to that for those looking to mingle in relative peace and quiet.

Food, Drink:
As the Golden Masque is not just an event hall but also a restaurant, food and drink will of course be made available to patrons - as usual, at no charge - via the Neocom-compatible interfaces located at each table. Members of the staff will also be roaming around, for those who prefer a personal touch.

Betting:
The Golden Masque does not provide betting services of its own. However, as with past tournament viewings, a variety of capsuleer-run betting services (including EOH and EVE-Bet) will be accessible via the same table interfaces that food and drink orders can be made through. Feel free to engage in friendly wagers with your fellow tournament-goers!

Dress Code:
There is no specific dress code in effect for the duration of the Alliance Tournament beyond "no nudity", so feel free to drop by as dressed up (or down) as you see fit - within reason, of course. Please note, however, that the definition of "within reason" may be adjusted as the owners and their designated representatives see fit, should it become necessary.

Security:
Our security policy is also unchanged from previous events. No weapons or illicit substances are permitted on the premises with the sole exception of authorized station security personnel, and violence (or threats of violence) will be met with the restraint and likely removal of the offender(s) by station security.

Any questions can be either asked here in this thread, or relayed to me via EVEmail; I will do my best to answer them in a timely fashion.

On behalf of myself, Tyrathlion Interstellar, and those who work at the Golden Masque, we look forward to seeing you there for the Tournament!

As TYRIN's corporate facilities manager, I would like to remind everyone that the Golden Masque is and will remain open to anyone and everyone who follows its rules and policies, and we are pleased to note that our current capsuleer blacklist is incredibly short.

If you happen to be on that blacklist and are interested in attending, please feel free to contact me via EVEmail to discuss options.

(If you are unsure whether you are on the list or not, the quickest way to find out is to attempt to connect to our holopresence system as described above. If you are able to connect, you aren't blacklisted.)

Well, if the wine is good and the menu has a few surprises...I can be persuaded. Will free viewing glasses be provided?

But I see that on a regular basis.

Can I watch those vids of furriers chasing their own tails instead?

Between the primary holosphere displaying a live, scaled-down simulation of the arena in real-time, and the displays at the tables showing camera drone and IGC studio footage, everything should be comfortably easy to view for patrons without the need for assistance.

So I'm not quite sure what you mean by viewing glasses in this case. Could you clarify?

As to the menu, it is best described as "open." Our culinary staff includes people from all over New Eden. If you can name it, odds are they can make it. And if you have a specific recipe you are interested in, they can accommodate if necessary. The same goes for drinks, though in the case of wines, while we do offer a number of varieties from all over the cluster, I would consider those produced by other vineyard-owning capsuleers to be the "featured" items in that regard.

When you're done being up to your eyeballs in hallucinogens and/or trying to mock me, Razvedka, we can talk about your "concerns." You're not funny, you're not clever, and you're not winning any points here.

Until then, you're just going to have to excuse me for publicly stating for the record that no such event happened and your post is a work of poorly cobbled-together fiction from the ground up. You have never set foot in my establishment in the first place, and the armor you claim to have worn a replica of even a thing for capsuleers until about five months ago.

And Seraphim, don't lie: you wouldn't have recorded it, because you'd have been too busy being involved directly.

I don't know what you are rambling about? I have never mentioned anything about your shin dig. Maybe its all the pressure you have been under lately. Perhaps I could ease the burden and run the event? Its the least I could do for a woman I hold in high esteem.

Evidently the DED is actually capable of doing their job correctly despite all evidence to the contrary. Impressive.

My response to your excised post still stands however, as it is no doubt likely still viewable on the various archive sites on GalNet.

Sorry, the viewing glasses bit was my stab at a bit of humor, an old family joke (I don't even know what 'viewing glasses' are, really Smile ).

The spread and the accommodations sound wonderful, though. Sporting events aren't usually my thing, but a touch of class is always irresistible. Looking forward to it.

You do realise that you are actually just messing with your Captain's Quarter right? Where are you going to sleep tonight? In the ship cargo hold?

Afterparty? I didn't really have anything of the sort planned.

Generally, after six (or eight) days of it, people are ready to just go do other things. Can't fault them, really - so am I, at that point - but if there's interest in doing something special, I'm willing to see what I can put together.

It could even be interesting to have some sort of discussion with some of those involved in the Tournament. Over drinks of course.

Most pilots involved in the Tournament don't seem to be too interested in hanging out with people outside of their alliances.

It's not the case for all of them, and so there's typically a few of us present at the event, in addition to corpmates and alliancemates who aren't necessarily on the team, but are there to watch.

Good thing that ban on crash has been lifted so I can party like a proper Caldari before passing out in front of a police station and get stuck waiting for the 5 am train back home to be berated by the waifu.
