Allow Point Defence battery for Astrahus Pls

Hello Devs,
i would like to suggest to add the Point Defence Battery Modules for Astrahus Citadel as well.

I hope other players would support this topic too.

I think the reason for the small citadel to exist is simply to provide a cheap one for the masses.

I agree with your request posted in the wrong subforum ...
... simply because it adds really nice eyecandy to them.

But they should be relatively ineffective.

Eh, the only reason I agree with this is because the gap between Mediums and larges is MASSIVE compared to the differences between XL and large.

Truthfully, anything would be better than the dumb downed "boom sticks" they currently have. I could pee more DPS than a Stand Up Missile launcher. Roll

The poor boy's POS. It's the frigate of citadels. It's the mudhut to the stone castle. Calling it a "citadel" is a hyperbolic way of not hurting the occupant's feelings. Imagine if you will a castle (the POS) next to a hut (the Astrahut...er -hus) and you get the idea.

I agree, the Standup Point Defense Batteries SHOULD be allowed on Astrahus Citadels ONLY in low security, NULL or Wormhole space.

In all space outside of High Security you can bring capitals to fight at or destroy one while the defender has no ability to fight that level of ships. They are currently only a good fit for High Sec.

Since the bomb launcher and the capital launchers can be in Low Sec with the Astrahus there is no reason to exclude the Point Defense.

The Astrahus will not be OP with this addition it will actually be more on par with what its roll is supposed to be.




As for the correct forum, there is none. There is no forum topic setup for the Citadels and there is no thread for improvements, additions or changes to that class of structures as well. They need their own channel group in the Eve Gameplay Center. So before you start yelling at people for it being in the wrong spot stop trolling and try to help.

TBH i don't see why not. Its not like the mod is all that powerful i'm not even sure many would fit the things since an asts only real defense is its fighters

On topic - not a bad idea.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
