Hello all.
Just got a new 13.3'' macbook air ( latest model cpu 1.7ghz) for job reasons, and i promptly installed also eve-online. Roll

As far i have read i could not expect the same performance as the windows client, but i have no problem with that. I had also to install smcFanControll to keep the CPU in reasonable heat. The problem i see is that even with fan running at max speed i see in 1-2 mins that the temperature its around 91C with all graphic settings at minimum and no station environments.

there is a way to lower the temperature? As it is i cannot even imagine to use the laptop since it will burn in no time.

I've got a MBA, and but a late 2008 1.86 GHz model with NVIDIA 9400m

Used to run eve on this and was getting temps of about low 80's

Mediocre fps but managed it. Now i don't even try except to change skills.

Tbh I think you've pretty much got what you can expect out of it.
Try a laptop cooling pad, as that helps, but best option is to boot camp IMHO.

The MBA just simply Isn't designed for game play, especially with an app like EVE, and the inclusion of the intel gfx chipset simply makes things worse.

Good luck
