Yes - 0.0 is neutral. At -5.0 you can be shot by other players without consequence.

Yes - 0.0 is neutral. At -5.0 you can be shot by other players without consequence.

To expand on this...

Between -0.1 and -4.9 you will be marked on other players' overviews as someone who has done "bad things"... however you are still considered a "neutral" and no one can legally attack you without going through the "proper motions" (see: war decs, duels, aggression shenanigans).

However, below security status -2.0 you will find that Faction NPCs will begin to attack you in high-sec.

At -2.0 you will be attacked in 1.0 and 0.9 systems.
At -3.0 you will be attacked in 0.8 and above systems
At -4.0 you will be attacked in 0.7 and above systems
At -4.5 you will be attacked in 0.6 and above systems
Below -5.0 you will be attacked in all high-sec systems.

NOTE: The Faction Police are not like CONCORD... so you can tank (not recommended), shoot at (not recommended), and evade them (recommended).

When you hit -5.0 other players can CAN legally attack you anytime, anywhere, and for any reason. And yes... you will be able to legally shoot them AFTER they have aggressed you.

Correction to the above poster, the sec status effects are like this:

At -2.0 you will be attacked by Faction Police in 1.0 systems.
At -2.5 you will be attacked by Faction Police in 0.9 and above systems.
At -3.0 you will be attacked by Faction Police in 0.8 and above systems
At -3.5 you will be attacked by Faction Police in 0.7 and above systems
At -4.0 you will be attacked by Faction Police in 0.6 and above systems
At -4.5 you will be attacked by Faction Police in 0.5 and above systems
At -5.0 you will be flashy red and a valid target for other players in all systems.

I'll also add that while you can evade the Faction Police, you can't tank them. If you don't get off grid in time, they web, scram, ECM, neut and DPS you down. Your only hope then is to be able to jump through a gate or dock. Note, that although they are called 'Faction' Police and are members of the faction who own the space, they respond to your global security status, not your faction status.

You can tank the Faction Navy - these only spawn on enemy Faction Warfare players (possibly also players with the relevant faction standing below -5.0), but they are a lot weaker than the Faction Police.

You can tank the faction police.

Double xl-asb rokh under fire by faction police and players alike tanked them all for just under 2 minutes. Just saying it's doable while constantly shooting them down, but it's also just a minigame with no gains to do so.

And i'd like to add that you do not need to leave grid. Warping onto a spot on grid with at least 80km (that's with a bit buffer) is enough to have them either despawn or start moving towards you. More distance is better, though. Not sure ccp fixed that already. Sometimes they don't despawn and just slowboat.

While their ecm has infinite range their guns don't. It's perfectly doable to let them eat your spacedust if you are in a ship fast enough to reach at least 50km from the closest, before they start engaging you. I had many high speed frigate fights in Hek as -10, great fun! Faction police only really is a hindrance to the lazy and they deserve to be punished.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia
