How convenient.

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

At any cost

So upon review: some people seem to be confusing my genuinely self-deprecating humor with an attempt to mock Pieter Tuulinen.

Those people are stupid and I am not rescinding or changing anything, because it should be obvious to people other than those people what I was going at here.

I like Pieter, he's one of the few smart people on the IGS who doesn't vastly overestimate his intelligence and let it get to his head. He's a far greater man than I in that regard.

That said, if I did choose to mock him, these people would still be completely absurd in their pearl-clutching. There is nobody who is above mocking or criticism. If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't mock myself.

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

At any cost

Nah, I didn't think that the point of this was to make fun of me - and really, I didn't make my post just to trumpet what I consider to be the best values of the State in public.

The purpose of my thread was to spark a discussion amongst Caldari about where we stand with our beliefs in the post-Hethian State. Do we still believe in central government? Do we still believe in internal trade? Do we really think we can screw everyone in negotiation and get away with it? Are we at each others throats?

I also wanted to point out where I'm NOT the Patriot Posterboy, because there are a lot of very orthodox Patriots back home and I wouldn't want people to think that everyone's as cool with two girls getting married and Caldari marrying Gallenteans as I've been in the past. As the other lady whose name inexcusably escapes me, said "Exposure to outside influences changes people."

If anything, I think Jason stole my format to keep it light-hearted so that he could talk about serious things without getting too stodgy.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

My guide to Federation culture was more informative.

And was also tastefully offensive.

Thusly, while Jason's posting is a solid first attempt, he has some way to go, to reach the level of quality of my postings.

But then, I am an award winning author, the IGS greatest comedienne, New Eden's most exalted Takmahl archaeological expert, and the Greatest Sani Sabik Capsuleer Philosopher of the Modern Era.

Not that I boast about it.
