I have noticed mercs that hunted their targets starting to cancel their subs due to their vocation being rendered obsolete in favor of hub humpers and pipe campers.
Congrats on validating a stereotype by making it the only viable means of generating their own brand of content CCP.

A few years ago when I did the merc life I actively hunted around for targets. Had some nice successes too.

Not noticed anyone following my alts and stuff but I've never been important enough for that to happen to me.

But I do despise the change myself, not because I'm a bounty hunter or anything, just don't like the change. Apparently it's enough to make some quit and that hurts us all in the long run.

Not sure if there can be enough hell raised to bring it back unfortunately. Seems like Iceland continues to be deaf in the ear.

Unfortunate because in my experience running a business, if your customer isn't happy with your product, your customer usually can find a competitor's product they like as well or better and you might just not see that customer ever again.

While I too contemplate a game venue change I find it disheartening. I've put 10 years in a game that now seems to be saying "Thanks for the 10 years of multiple account monthly fees, CYA!" I love this game but not sure myself how much longer I will continue playing it.

A sense of betrayal maybe? Yeah I know, game nor it's digital bits and pieces never belonged to me, I belonged to them but still having a strong sense of betrayal. For players since 03, I don't even want to know how some of them are feeling. Most are probably letting the account expire quietly.

Again - Good Luck to whatever game you head towards, keep your stuff and your toons. Maybe they'll get the idea and the pendulum will start swinging the other direction.

Projecting importance into an irrelevant opinion (forum posting) doesn't show care, it shows anger.
And besides are most people incapable of writing objective posts. They're all dismissable.

Most people are concentrating on "fun" and how to easily obtain it.

Consider the watchlist changes. All that happened was worthless drivel on the forums.
Like any political entity, CCP CAN and does ignore opposition and only grooms it when convinient.

Now +, after the change, it is claimed that mercs have "adapted" by using mass wardecs ...
... which only shows the lack of care and the centricism on "my fun".

Now they wait (!) for CCP to maybe implement something that turns their not-yet-miserable-situation in a better situation and they will praise them for it, because then it'll be better than now. And they'll have forgotten who created the shituation in the first place.

What happens when there's a nerf?
They gank out of protest. Happened repeatedly.
What does it achieve? Nothing.
It's 100% predictable and thus can be planned for accordingly or outright ignored.

The lack of actual opposition in EVE is outright disgusting to me (sorry) ...
... and perfectly mirrors how too many people have it too good ingame ...
... and that bread&circus is a well established crowd control mechanism.


Thanks for reading. I managed to connect my wiimote with my windows tablet and will now happily keep dieing 10.000 times in commander keen. Where you die. A ******* lot. And while the vast majority of players nowadays would throw it away for an easier game that suits their egos, will i instead keep trying to get better to beat that damn series. Again. And i don't need a forum to complain about it.

Your foundation point appears to be in juxtaposition with logical and historical understandings.

CCP has listened, commented on, and changed things in EVE due to forum/Reddit/media postings. Just a single instance would be enough to invalidate the supposition but with many instances of it... well, there it is. You, personally, may not care and that clearly shows, so when it comes to speaking for yourself, your comments are 100% accurate.

CCP has an investment in the feedback they get, no matter the form. Yes, you're right, they have the power to choose what to listen to and what to dismiss, that's a power all of us possess, so it's just stating the obvious. The points you make after that are what's most odd here.

Essentially your post is telling everyone to shut up because anything anyone says is dismissed. That makes it about the worst post I've ever read on these forums. The irony is, by that logic, your own post is just as easily dismissed.

If I'm wrong in that read of your post, I apologize ahead of time, I'm not trying to attack you or misinterpret you but that is a very disappointing post from someone that is clearly a long time veteran of these forums.
