Hi all, I want to propose a CCP to make a new type of account within Eve online where this is free, and I mean as I think it should be a free account on Eve online.

My goal is to make CCP do this for those who have sufuciente money to pay your bills online Eve. I see this proposal the way I think it would be fair for a free account in Eve online and look fair and attractive to CCP. But I would also like you to say like you who deveria being a free account think.

These are my suggestions on how to think deverias being free account.

Ships

Maximum range in the classes of ships:
even Cruser but nothing tec 2 in any class
Maximum range in the classes of industrial ship
to Industrial
No industrial buildings tec 2
No Freighter or jump freighter
Maximum range in mining ships:
Mining barges up with nothing but tce 2; Venture, Procurer, Covetor and Retriever.
No faction ships except ships ore
No ships tec 2
No ships tec 3
No limit to use the ships of the four factions, Minmatar, Gallente, Caldari and Ammar

skill

The technology proved necessary for Level 1 only to reach the maximum suggested on ships
No skill to use tec 2
No skill to use tec 3

Industry

The same as used for the trial account in the field of industry in Blueprints

Modules

Tec only 1 in the nesesario size for ships Suggested class level
No faction modules

PLEX:
PLEX may not apply, Why ?, because it is assumed that the account is free and should not be able to upgrade through PLEX

I think that in this way these free accounts will not be a disadvantage for players who are paying their accounts and these players can contribiur something to corporations where they are but being limited will not be in large quantities and will not affect the game significantly.

Now, what could be used as larger ships if the account will be limited?
I thought this so that CCP look attractively where these accounts to upgrade these have to buy a subscription for these are regular bills and to use the PLEX at some point.

The only way this will ever happen is if f2p players get put on their own server where they can't have any effect on the server that people are paying for, and a second server is never going to happen.

Besides being in the wrong forum section, I don't like the idea.

I hope EvE never goes F2P.

I play two F2P games (Warframe & Planetside 2) and in both of them I've muted all voice comms as ..."individuals" act just plain stupidly so much. Incredibly annoying.

I wouldn't want to see EvE become like that.

It costs less than $1/day to play this game, if you can't afford that, you really should reconsider how you use your time.

Why?

You make a massive development and marketing effort/cost to allow free accounts with no guarantee they will ever upgrade. This generates no revenue for CCP, adds a bunch of burden to CCP and pisses off 90% of the player base.

So, in other words, no thank you.

From the OP, I'm guessing he isn't a native English speaker, which means that while he's charged for Eve against the available currencies, one of the available ones is probably not the currency of his country.

Once the currency conversion occurs and his bank adds their fees on top for international transactions/currency conversion/etc., it can be substantially more than the amount that CCP receive.

On top of that, a lot of countries don't enjoy the wages/salary levels we have in the West and the OP might be getting by on just a couple of hundred Euros equivalent (in his currency) per month.

For me, I just pay the 12 months subscription and don't worry about it, but some people, who are still entitled to enjoy their recreation time, don't necessarily have much disposable income available, so to a degree I can understand where the OP is coming from. As a consumer, he's trying to get his income to go as far as possible.

Just the proposal is silly. Better to just provide free accounts that train 0 skills and have only 1 character slot. If you want skills, you buy PLEX and convert to skill injectors. That way, no special restrictions are required on the characters. They become self limiting by the available income and/or provide an advantage through the time someone is able to put into the game.

Electricity isn't free. Although I agree with your general sentiment, even if I don't fit in it.

I always love how people who don't want to pay their way, and who are eager to grant me (and others like me) that privilege, always present their proposal in such remarkably creative ways.

FTP?

Seems so abstract for this game. Its like I would log in and suddenly all those pilots around became bearers of this strange ilness I cant explain, all of them complaining how bad the game is because it does not allow them to do anything...

I have a rather high end gaming PC. I could very easily run upwards of 30 EVE clients.

now, please excuse me while I go and undock a fleet of ventures. sure, they're not the fastest mining yield ship in the game, but who cares when you can throw 30 of them into a belt?

I agree with you, i don't want a free to play game.
But i also must disagree : EVE is already free to play, since you can buy PLEX with ISK.
Even worst : EVE is pay to win, since you can turn PLEX into ISK, then into skill injector.

I have enough accounts and can always make more for the hell of it and even I dont want F2P. If you arent smart enough to make it work then your not gonna do it with 'free' accounts.

Shae Id normally say I understand but what Paranoid said pretty much summed it up. There are SO many other things you can do than play a game with your free time that wont cost you so much of your income and still have all the buckets of fun you need in your life. In the end its all about priorities. A stupidly expensive game, no matter how much fun for you, isnt the right choice if your income level isnt up to the task. Just like I dont try to own a yacht if I can barely afford a dinghy someone should really think about it before complaining. Living within your means is a huge thing a lot of people this world over should try sometime.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

ISK made on a free account = free ISK.
ISK made from selling plex = still paid for by another player.

But even more importantly: why would we want free biomassable characters?? Actions, consequences. Free toons have none of the latter.

With skill extractors the game is already free to play. Train to the desired level and afterwards play for free. If you decide you need some additional skills, just stop extracting for a bit. Works well for people who need additional alts for mining, PI, industry, ganking or cloaky camping.

Perhaps in a years time we will see players asking CCP to remove skill extraction and sell SP directly from the Nexus store. Now that would be a revolution in players attitude.
