For the Amarr, it's even more simple.

The Holy Amarr Empire remains in a full state of war against the Drifters. If the Chamberlain (or future Empress), or some other power in the Imperial government tell me to stop killing Drifters, then I will. Until that time, I intend to fully prosecute the war to the best of my abilities. I cannot speak to the rest of the Imperial loyalist capsuleers, but I would assume they intend the same.
