Another thing about the carrier issue is that fighters do need to come a lot closer, can be killed en masse and now even generate killmails. So though they can lock and engage the actual engagement ranges are, I believe, what CCP wants to control to create fun, danger and excitement for both sides. In the end its that adrenaline that most keep coming back for in regards to the PvP experience.

Either way it was news to me itd been increased to 300kms from the 250km hardcap it has been for ages now.

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Take into consideration an accompanying stat. At what distance can you initiate warp? Only so far away...can't...one more meter, can. Now. What kind of (imaginary) tracking/firing tech can overcome the time/space continuum? At which point can a charge in a projectile shell become more powerful than your standard engines, or rival your warp drive?

Or, do you actually see yourselves hitting something all the way across a solar system, as though it's just a table top?

Well realistically there is no reason you couldn't - but for realism we should add travel time to all the ammo then...not just missiles...
Yeah. They're sorta forced to take the whole thing into consideration. (Missiles get hosed in incursions, btw.) Lasers with negligible travel time. What's the point of weight - speed - agility ratios from a small projectile round to a capital vessel? The entire array of moving parts...the size of a system side to side, corner to corner.

We should be glad they're not still using slide rules! But, then, this would be a table top game with cute little pieces - eight six-sided die....Systems and Stations! Hooboy. I kill me. Big smile

PS Was "carrier issues" a pun? LOL. Carrier Issues - drones. I kill me.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.
