Drones may not properly auto aggress after reconnecting

While mining it seemed just as convenient to just leave my drones in belt while dropping off the ore and then just reconnecting to them after coming back however it seems that after I did that and they started orbiting my ship again they would no longer properly auto attack the rats that would come in periodically.

Just wonder if anyone else has ever experienced that. I haven't played around with it too much yet to confirm if it always happens or if it was just a freak occurrence or not.
