There is a features and ideas section but that just to make you feel better

What it should be called is

"Post your carefully thought out ideas or ramblings and watch them trashed along with your personality by people who can either see the flaws or do not like the way it would impact on their game".

And at the bottom is should say "ideas and Features is a CCP free zone"

That's the normal peer review process on the internet. People who have the ideas tend to be blind to at least some of the downsides, so little criticism is in order and since this is the internet, it's not all going to be constructive. If your idea can't survive this process, it propably wasn't worth implementing in the form you presented anyway. On the positive side the area is actually monitored by CCP, so you might give them ideas or point them to a solution to an issue even if they ignore your particular idea/solution. People just tend to think they ignore the area, since they usually want to avoid posting one way or another in any individual idea thread.

That's cause CCP said they don't want to show bias for or against ideas that may or may not get implemented. Cause seriously, we bend their words enough. I don't think they'd want us parading around saying they'd promised a feature cause one dev said he thought it sounded cool...cause I know we would.

Features and Ideas Discussions is the right place for features and ideas discussions.
