Just curious if anybody has paid attention to the ratio of their assets vs isk before.

I did a search but couldn't find anything relevant.

I normally sit on my orders till i have a decent stock of an item to sell, but recently have noticed that I am starting to accumulate a huge inventory. Its not a big deal because it is mostly high volume and I could probably move it along pretty quickly, but it did make me wonder.

I have only been trading for about a week in the evenings after work. I started with around 25-30mil in my wallet and now it is up to 45 but my hanger at the bottom is showing just over 200mil. I now the hanger doesn't give an exact value but I didn't realize how quickly it could build.

I guess the question I have (finally) is if traders prefer to sell small stacks to turn over inventory or large stacks to simplify orders?

Or is it just a personal preference? This turned into more of a random thought than a question I guess.

You are sort of asking two questions. One is about how much ISK to keep, the other is when to start selling stock.

Most people do not want to have more than 10-15% of their worth as ISK, because that is just idle ISK, meaning you could earn more by investing them.

About selling, there is typically no reason to not start selling any and all stock you have. Exceptions are
1) if you are expecting price to rise from here
2) if you are lacking in number of orders you can manage

You phrased my question a lot better than me. Thank you. Makes perfect sense. I started selling and setting up more buys. I was really just holding myself back by sitting on the stuff. Thanks again.
