Launcher updating never ending?

So starting today my launcher wants to download a 3.75 gigabyte update? I can't see anything in the notes explaining why it would be so big, but okay- except its downloaded 3 times already. I can get it the game if I quickly hit play before the launcher starts this download, but otherwise I get locked out once the download starts? anyone else having this problem with the new update?
