How to load ammo into Railgun

I have just started playing and I have a Frigate with a railgun and antimatter ammo in cargo hold. How do I load the ammo into the gun. If I try to use the gun at replies "no ammo"

Right click on the module icon and select to load the ammunition.

You can also load turrets while docked by opening the fitting window and dragging ammunition into the middle or onto the turret icons.

If you have your cargo open you can leftclick and drag it there too.
Fyi, normally you would be better off posting questions like this in "new citizens queations and answers"

I right clicked the icon but didn't see any command to load. I dragged the ammo from the cargo bay to the icon and then right clicked and saw a command that listed the antimatter ammo clicking it loaded the ammo. Thanks.

In-space - either right-click the gun and choose the ammo, or use the "reload all" keyboard shortcut (ctrl-R).
In-station - open the fittings screen and drag the ammo from the cargo to the gun in the fittings screen

is it a Civilian Rail gun? If so, they do not use ammo.

Doubt it (unless something changed civi railguns go to Caldari and civi blasters go to Gallente) but good point.

You are aware the ammo size (Small, Medium, Large) must match the railgun size?
Also, can't use tech II ammo in Tech I guns?

Basic stuff I know, but ... can't hurt to check.

Also civilian turrets don't give a 'no ammo' alert since they don't need ammo. They just work anyway.

The Caldari do indeed get civilian (Gatling) rails.

P.S. this forum is general discussion. It's full of trolls, though they don't seem to have shown up yet.
