Here is a data core of something interesting pulled from the wreck of an ancient freighter left to deteriorate thousands of years ago.

I have just recently been able to understand its meaning and patched together the thought from the pages of notes that I read.

Suspended Stasification Aeffectation

The other Doorway....

Time traveling is similar to FTL (Faster Than Light) travel. The faster that you travel the more space that you occupy. The question is once the body crosses the threshold of FTL and Time Travel does the body die due to gravity not being able to regulate the heartbeat properly?

A fascinating aspect of death at FTL and TT is that if the body dies the body would not begin to decompose because the chemical processes involved with bacteria would not be present because the bacteria would have also have died. So does death really occur or is the body placed into a state of suspended stasification where not even exposure to radiation would aeffect, pronounced eye-ffect or the body being influenced by something and the effect that created suspended stasification that is only possible when traveling at FTL and faster as well as Time Traveling, would not influence the process of decomposition. If true and the body is in fact placed into a state of suspended stasification aeffectation because of gravity not being able to regulate the heart beat of the human and bacteria, would the body return to a normal state of being alive once the human body returned to a dimension of space-time that was governed by the heart of gravity within the area that human body was occupying? Would the human brain retain the memories that had been stored in electrical patterns? Would the human remember who they were or would the human have to start again from the beginning and relearn everything that they had previously known?

More importantly though is the thought that if humans do go into a state of suspended stasification aeffectation at FTL speeds then life would exist at the velocity of FTL and faster velocities that when the life residing above FTL velocities slows to a velocity that a heart would be affected by gravity to creating a pumping of circulation then life would be created. Life that would be created across the Universe and even outside of the Universe as well.

Prize pool currently totals a drop over 54 bil ISK. Prizes will be a mixture of ships, nice item loot,
and raw ISK. The detailed mix for each category will be shake out as we go along.
(Note - the sanguinary theme emerged on its own as our various sponsors donated items.)
Amounts are rounded down so you may receive bonus blood infusion at the end. Check back often,
all the way until judging is complete and winners are announced. Kind and cheerful people tend to
donate additional loot as the contest progresses.

Grand Prize
Plex, 3 Bhaalgorn, Skill Injector & Liquid ISK = 7.5 bil
This prize usually goes to the best story in the 8,000 Suns canon-faithful category, but if a story from
either of the other categories gets a score that really outstrips the best in 8,000 Suns, it could steal it.

8,000 Suns in New Eden
1st Prize - 2 Bhaalgorn, Skill Injector, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 5.9 bil
2nd Prize (there will be two of these) - Ashimmu, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 3.7 bil
3rd Prize (there will be three of these) - Ashimmu, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 2.1 bil

A Day in the Life
1st Prize - 2 Bhaalgorn, Skill Injector, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 4.3 bil
2nd Prize (there will be two of these) - Ashimmu, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 2.7 bil
3rd Prize (there will be three of these ) - Ashimmu, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 1.6 bil

Other Things Just Make You Swear and Curse
1st Prize - 2 Bhaalgorn, Skill Injector, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 2.7 bil
2nd Prize - Ashimmu, Skill Injector, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 2.1 bil
3rd Prize - Ashimmu, Skill Injector, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 1.6 bil

Honorable Mention
(there will be eight of these) - Cruor & Liquid ISK = 540 mil
Across category prize chosen from top-scoring entries

Best Entry by a New Writer
'Nightstalker' Goggles, Cruor, Dark Blood Medium Energy Nosferatu & Liquid ISK = 1.08 bil
Across category prize awarded to the top scoring entry by an author who has never won a prize in a Pod and Planet contest

Thank you for the prizes and o7, generous sponsors and donors!

Story Device - Drifter Battleships.

Drifter Battleship
CONCORD's analysis of this battleship has been hampered by its advanced hull and shielding. The propulsion system is unfamiliar but tentative theories have suggested that the vessel somehow directly interacts with the fabric of space-time while moving.

Time is the distance between energetic particles that interact with each other. For example you have two red recess rubber balls, the ones we all used to use to annoy the cutie in the pigtails with. One person throws a ball each towards the other ball. Time is the measurable distance between the ball and atoms in the air and the atoms comprising the components of the ball as well.

Space is the medium in which Time occurs. Space is a measurable distance as well as long as Time exists.

As the two balls travel closer and closer together they displace the medium between them eventually colliding where each ball exerts and receives an amount of pressure based on force.

The same is basically true with planets, suns and black holes in space but more so planets that since there are more of would constitute more gravitational energy present in Universe compared to suns and black holes. As two planets come close to each other their gravitational fields collide. Its during the collision process and the transfer of energy that the Drifters interact with space-time.

Using still unknown technology Drifters are able to harness the energy that is present during a gravitational field collision between planets to generate a gravitational wavelength in equilibrium to the gravitational collision itself. Using other forms of technology the Drifter BS then reduces the mass of particles in its path basically creating Non-Grav Space that allows the Drifter BS to capitalize directly on energetic systems that were present before the Universe came to be.

Judging Update, Nov. 24 - Well, we didn't meet our hoped-for date of Nov. 23. Three judges are done, three others need some more time. I'll see if I can get estimates from them. Thank you for favoring us with your patience.

Guys thank you so much for running the competition, first time since I was a kid I've actually finished a story and given I've only been playing the game a few months, was not expecting anything. So much so I missed my name for a minute because I scrolled straight to the honorable mentions where all my hopes were pinned!

The competition didn't just get me writing, it got me really digging into the lore, and gave me a new appreciation for the game. It's one of the most enjoyable things I've done since I joined Eve, and hopefully now I have the ISK to still be subscribed this time next year for the next one!

Many thanks Sam and all, and congratulations again to all the other writers! You guys have serious skills.

See you next year!

Many thanks to Sam and Judges for making Pod and Planet possible. I feel incredibly honored to be awarded second place in "A Day in the Life" category.

To me, the greatest reward of them all is knowing that someone thinks highly of your work. This made my entire year, and has inspired me to keep working on the creative aspect of writing.

Congratulations to my writing peers. Your stories were incredible.
