4th BCU adds 4.2% DPS to a T2 damage rig tengu and 5.6% DPS to a non-damage rig tengu.

It's definitely something to put the first time you try a site, but once you get comfortable running something and you know your tank holds you should go back to higher DPS.

The real balance that many people screw up is paper DPS vs applied DPS but BS heavy sites obviously don't have that issue as much as wormhole sites.

I can solo damn near everything I come across.

Not like I'm a pro ratter or anything... I'm like, 95% PvP. But the fact that the fit I posted has been alive for over 3 years and gone through countless L5's, nullsec plexes, and even a couple incursion fleets should speak volumes for its effectiveness, considering it's being flown by a pilot that has absolutely ZERO game when it comes to PvE activities.

Also wrong forum section.

The key to tengu ratting is a small shield booster with officer shield boost amplifier. Don't forget to pimp out rest of the mods and use at least 1 mismatched rig and/ or a cargo extender so it looks funny on the killmail.


But srsly.. If you absolutely have to do those sites ninja style than tengu is probably best choice, even unbonused EM is better than slowboating 30 km into optimal with the other t3's. Fit a fuel/ missile speed rig/ missile computer to shoot stuff at 40-50k.


The DCU- depends on the ship, fit and intended use. Not worth to put one on a pve tengu. It's shield tank and a cruiser (relatively small buffer in armor/ hull) so if for some reason you going down with 90% resists on shield, you will pop in 2 seconds once hostiles reach armor, with damage control or not.

Alright well lets hurry up and figure out an actual tengu fit that can handle this site so I can finally get this 10/10 and die gloriously for everyone's pleasure.

Step 1: go back to Pg1
Step 2: find the fit I posted
Step 3: log onto EVE and buy a Tengu
Step 4: fit it how I freaking told you to
Step 5: run missions/complexes with it
Step 6: profit

I promise you if you pay attention, don't go AFK, and figure out when to activate the second booster, you will NEVER die in that fit, unless you get ganked because you weren't watching DScan.

just use a bunch of capacitor rigs and use a x-type large shield booster along with the capacitor regen matrix.
