It's always cool when someone comes back and says thank you. What I like even better is that Pandora has actually been contributing too. It's great when people pass on what they know without having to feel like they have to wait until they amass an excessive amount of knowledge. Besides, you don't really know something until you describe it to someone else.

And yea. Be like Ralph. He will give great advice here and be the most helpful guy around, and won't hesitate to blow you up if he comes across you in game and you qualify as a target.

It's not just Ralph KG, he really helped me a lot and while I've profusely thanked him directly, he wasn't alone. Many of you that have posted here have also helped. Many others that are not yet here have contributed. Regulars like Iria, DMC, ergherhdfgh, Shah, Tau, Memphis, and some newer ones like Brokk and Archibald have really helped not only me and others. I wish I could just dump the bucket full of names here (I was trying to avoid looking like I was going overboard) so if you weren't mentioned I'm not intentionally leaving you out.

What Lan and Iria said about Ralph is totally true though. Some folks might think he's a like monger, but I've never been able to see him in that vein. He's so helpful that the likes come from a good place. He's earned every one of them in my opinion.

So, if there is some kind of future nomination for helpers in the forums to get a reward in-game, Ralph KG would be first on my list to get that nomination. It's nice to see others recognize that effort on his part as well.

You're welcome. Nice chatting with you around the stars too. One of the few forum folks I've actually chatted with when I was out cruising around. I'm always willing to help if you need it and I can spare a moment (which I usually can).

I know my perspective is different from the norm. I often think when trying to learn something new it's good to look at a variety of viewpoints even ones you don't agree with. Sometimes I get chastised for my posts here by the OP and at those times I wonder if I am doing more harm than good.

Hearing that my efforts have helped does encourage me to continue being active here. So thank you for letting us know we helped.

To any other new players reading this your feedback is appreciated and helpful. Letting us know when we help and when we lead you astray can help us post better in the future. Also even if we were not helpful it can let us know when we need to go into more detail or sometimes less detail or even just meet you in a system somewhere and show you.

There are definitely some names on that list of whomb this sub-forum's quality has gone down with the absence of their posting.

There's been more than a few times were I've read a post and wished that J'Poll was around. There are even times where I try to fill in for J'Poll's absence by asking myself "what would J'Poll say now".


LOL.... Upon rereading this for spelling checks I realized the similarity to What Would J'Poll Do or WWJD that you see on bumper stickers and such. However it feels more like a South Park moment similar to the "What Would Brian Boitano do" anyway I digress.
