How do you find the sites needed for "Shadow of the Serpent" event?

You need to set some flags in your overview settings.

From memory, open your overview settings, select "Tab Presets", expand "Entity", search for the term "event" and enable any Entity item that is not enabled. Save to an appropriate overview tab.

The event sites will show up in your overview as beacons with the type of event site as the site name. Rat sites that show up in your probe scanner window are not part of the event.

Whenever CCP adds new ships, new NPCs, new events, etc., your overview settings don't keep up with the changes. You have to reconfigure your overview to keep up, even if you're using the default settings ("Show All", for example). It's silly, but it's the way it is.

You need to pray daily to Jormungand, only then will they appear young capsuleer.

Its silly because of CCP.
Next time I want my overwiev to update with all entities that are for the event. If they are so inclined to add those, they could at least make them visible by default. Roll

Just add a line in patch notes that the overview settings has been changed and a list of added entities.

Go to your overview settings (while in space), Select "Celestial" tab, then tick "beacon"

Also, make sure in "Entity" tab, you have all Serpentis and Angel ships ticked

I have around 40 different overviews, the vast majority of which have nothing to do with most of what gets added. If I had to remove the new things from each of them, I'd probably break down and cry.

What I'd prefer to see is CCP listing what all the different types are in the patch notes, and which category they're under in the Overview tabs. That would make it quick and easy to add them to the desired overviews.

Hmm... actually, I think I'll go toss that in the Little Things thread. It can't hurt, and might save a bit of headache for folks in the future.

When the Shadow of the Serpent event ends do the points you earn carry over to the next event?

That would be horrible. The ideal overview tab minimizes information to get you exactly what you need without having to wade through junk. Yes, it's a pain when new things are released, but it allows us customize without having to sanitize every tab after every patch.
