So CCP, SWTOR has Huttball as a "gamey" PVP match, and it's one of the more fun ones; why don't you guys implement something? Controlling a "ball" is certainly possible with tractor beams, and goal nets can be a modified MTU that only pulls the ball in if it's in at a certain distance or inside its bubble or something. And otherwise we have all these different tactics, from RR to ewar to bumping, for assisting or for blocking whoever has the ball.

It could be fun.

You could even make special ships with special abilities (goalkeeper for example) specifically for the game, and I'd bet they'd be popular. With the newbies, too.

You could broadcast matches on those big TV's we have in every station.

You can start simple.

Take two ship that move up and down to prevent the "ball" to pass. VOILA pong ^^

Mhhh as more as I think about it ... feels like bumping a pod around.
