New Serpentis event. Played it on test the last month... Assumed it would be a ninja-fest when it went live.

I don't even need to fight in the shipyards. Just warp in.... MWD and bump the crap out of the guy by the can while he takes all the aggro and steal the loot when he finishes. No worries about criminal and nothing he can do...

Since I noticed that once aggro is on you it stays with these sites (ran fleet of 4 on test to every site over and over and rats never changed targets except to your drones).

I think this one is a flop and geared more towards nullsec. Is a waste of time imo and I think something better could have been done for content. I would rather scan these sites down than to have a big beacon for everyone to warp to in any part of space.

Was hoping they would make some changes before it went live.... It is simply a ninja-grief fest and I am glad everyone in a rush to get the magical worthless rewards.... Leaves more boring combat sites untouched and scans for me

This is how it's always been. Rats used to shoot "gankers" making them cry and whine and throw tantrums because they couldn't get free easy kills, so ccp made it so rats focus on their "threat enemies" to stop the ganker tears. I recommend abusing it heavily, as it is intended to be handled that way

OP has no clue. You get credit for completing the site just by being on grid and the loot is literally worthless. Ninja all you want, nobody cares.

You can supposedly sit in a site cloaked and still get the credit, although not tested this myself...

There will be future threads (and future blogs) as we tune details, but for now I want to thank you for all of your constructive input, and wish you a good weekend :)"

Sigh... The know-it-all turd in the punch bowl. If you wanted attention that badly, why post a completely worthless reply when you could have made your very own thread and titled it "Things nobody cares about"? I think it would have worked out a lot better for you and actually be more constructive....

There is this guy that sits with us at the bar. He has been there for years... Every time a dude walks in with a hot chick he leans over to us and points out whatever he can about the dude that would make him a loser. The funny thing is.... this guy has never walked into a bar with a chick. If you envy my thread so much....go make your own... Quit trying to steal my chick...

Moving on...

I don't mind grinding for a good reward but this one (the event) I have found much more worth in spending the time doing the other things. The money to time spent ratio isn't exactly great on the sites. By yesterday (4th) I noticed that sites remained up on overview for 20mins to an hour in all the systems around where I hang out. Talked to a few people that were running them like crazy this weekend and they simply lost interest after getting their first 500 reward and saw how much time it took. I think many people lost interest in the event over the weekend.

I ended up with some blah SP and a ship skin. Not really worth it to me. It is more content which is cool...would rather see something more like a "chance" of higher tier rewards in each can.... Like a roll. If there is one I haven't seen anything different between the people I have talked to. We have all been given the same rewards for the first 2 cans so far.

I dont understand people who complain about someone getting to the can (without any ownership flag) first and looting it. It is not stealing. Its competitive looting.

You predicted that in the legendarily cut-throat game of EVE a new event would give people new opportunities to steal from each other? You, sir, are a seer with no equal...

Does it get you CONCORDed in High Sec? If not it should... just saying.

Rats DO change aggro, flew into a few sites yesterday that had someone there. As soon as I started taking out the frigates they switched to me, all of them.

As for the containers, well I have only seen one site that has them and I don't bother racing for it if someone is already close to it, The rewards from taking out the battleships and cruisers is a decent isk reward.

But loot, the loot available by salvaging is dismal and should be improved. At least some of the structures should destroyable with a decent chance of a container, I fail to see the point of site after site of indestructible structures. (that goes for any site anywhere)

LOL! That might have been me. I was trying to do the Rookie ship mission, so, I warped in, targeted a Frigate and kept him at 15km whilst I railed and missiled him with my Velator. Then someone warped in, stole all the frigates and the Frigate I was targeting started magically healing with NO external forces applying Logi to him. I was laughing at that. Then I got in close to a different Frigate, switched targets and pounded him like mad, he switched to me and I led him out of the mess before the cruisers and battlecruiser could lock me up. I did kill the second Frigate and got credit. Man that was hard to do in a Velator, at least time wise, they never even dinged my shields much because of the previous interaction and range I was shooting at. That and the fact their dps is awful!

As for the ninja stuff. If you see someone warp in on the can, you can warp back out, let him have all the aggro and do the same thing back to him. See if he likes it.
