Something painfully obvious dawned on vlad in a "eureka" moment and hes been running with that tangent since

They don't wardec for fights, they wardec for kills.

If spam wardeccers wanted fights they would be roaming null and low where they could actually get a good fight. They choose highsec because they are more interested in making their killboard look pretty.

Oh yeah, because we only do honorable ebushido fights in null. Roll

I'd argue WHs are the only place to consistently get honorable fights anymore. It's the only place left where I see people regularly change ships to even the fight and actually have some fun

This thread is really delivering.

I bow down before the ISDs and thank them immensely for their new soft approach to moderating. A couple of years ago this thread would have been locked back on page 1.

But since it's just a small group of us arguing here, it's much appreciated that it's left open. It's very entertaining.

LMAO!! I'm sorry the attitudes of some seen in this thread are ridiculous.

LOL...You want structures that feed you intel?, and you want an intel tab which you can access and get live data about your war targets? in other words you want watchlist version 2.0? otherwise you'll protest by sitting in stations all day and not doing anything?

You guys should hurry up and leave the game and take Dracvlad with you. You still have a perfectly functioning system to generate PVP content and the truth is you're all just to darn lazy to go scout out your target. I hope CCP completely ignore your requests. Nothing they do will ever make you guys happy.

The watchlist was not always a part of Eve it was a change which came quite late, 9 years I think, what do you think people were doing before that? We gathered intel as best we could, a dude got in a cov ops went to where our enemies were and reported the findings. Also we weren't afraid to fight anyone back in those days.

There are faults in what you class as playing the game, some of you seem to want war targets served up with all the trimmings, and you're just angry because its not as easy as you want it to be. This game is too gangsta for you, the current generation of Eve player is a lazy one.

Hardly. The whole entire notion of Gud Fites don't really happen.

I've been dropped in lowsec and Null sec in small ****, crusier or down by full carrier supported fleets, but blobbed by Ivy and the ilk.

People don't like to lose it's human nature. So if they can assure a victory you know they will take it.

Good Fight's only happen by luck when both parties are unprepared for each other.

Yeah, I was 110% serious about my suggestion. You got me.

I also demand that CCP give me a fully fit maxed out polaris frigate + the skills to fly it as well!

And a trillion free skillpoints while they are at it!

Otherwise I'll totally sit in station all day as a protest, because that'll show them.

Clearly you aren't reading my posts...but do you even read *your own* to see how ridiculous you are getting here? Obviously Dracvlad has gotten under your skin and it is personal - but there is no need to lose all sanity regarding everyone else and their posts just because of him...

LOL, now youre trying to claim it was sarcasm? LOL ... I'm ****ing you..

I think this is how some of you hi sec merc types are, sorry you've been stereotyped...HAHA.

With Drac I'm just tired of him thinking he is right on everything, he is 100% wrong and should just leave the game because it is too much work for him. I'm just the guy pointing out how ignorant he can be.

I really don't think it could have been much more obvious that it was sarcastic...

You guys really need to develop a sense of humour - you would enjoy not just EVE but life in general much more.

Like I said, I KNOW it was meant as sarcasm, I did find it funny.

I used your sarcasm to exaggerate what it is you merc guys really want, It's just my way of saying that what some want from this game is an easy ride and they don't feel they need to put the work in to achieve stuff. CCP have been making this game too easy in my opinion and I am now 100% committed to the removal of the watchlist. All we need now is local removed and we got ourselves the most gansta game on the market.

I think you are mistaken, the watchlist appeared in 2011/12 the release of Eve was 2003/4 not that specific video.

Ahh, ya got me.

I can't be sure that the watchlist has always been used as a war tool, I'll research it and get back to you, I can't even remember right now.

But didn't you say something about what you guys did before watchlist, I would really like to hear that.
Or dont you remember?

FYI.. I've tried to figure out when watchlist was implemented.. and the best answer was videos from back then.
If anyone can verify when it was implemented it would be great.

The moderators here are fantastic.

Don't get me wrong, I love Elite: Dangerous, it's a great game, but the moderators over on their forums are cancer compared to these guys. No idea how to build a community, banhappy as all hell, (seriously, I got banned for posting video with no text in the comment field, despite the fact that I was posting a tutorial video for a player asking for help, and the ban reason was 'chat spam'). Anyone that gets mildly 'passionate' - banned. Oh, you can also get banned for being 'argumentative', ie disagreeing with a thread. Apparently, if you post something, it becomes your own personal hugbox where only people who agree with you are allowed to chat. Works the same for any idea, but arguing on their forums is almost universally met with bans.

Honestly, of all the gaming forums I've ever participated in, these ones really set the bar. It's probably why I get banned almost everywhere else though Lol

Actually...yeah.

Before watchlists were infallible, indestructible, and provided blanket coverage.

A structure would provide limited coverage, be destructable, and even if the targets chose not to attack the structure they can try running. And if the structures require some form of fuel...HS war dec corps will get to learn the joys of fueling structures.

Basically, it would let focused HS war decs try and claw back some of what has been taken from them via dev fiat.

And the watchlist has been around for a loooong time. I remember putting Intensity Green and Chee on my watchlist back in late 2008 (because I saw them use their DDs back when they were AoE weaposn). So, that is about 8 years.

So...too the extent that Dracvlad and I may agree on bringing back some degree of watchlist functionality...stranger things have happened.
