I'm the new host of the Monthly Toronto Player Gathering.

I would like to get a feel From the Comunity about who's going, Planning on going, wishes they were going.

If you Have been Before Tell us how much you spent on the whole event including Travel and Accomodation (and where you were travelling from)

I'm looking at going, and bringing my fiancee (if she ever finds her damn Passport...).

Staying Thursday through Monday, looking at dropping about $3,000 USD for the both of us, includes everything except fun money. Flying out of the Midwest, USA.

This is going to be my first Fanfest. I live in Minneapolis, MN.

Travel/hotel expenses:

About $975 using the Icelandair package deal round-trip from BOS while staying at Centerhotel Arnarhvoll, including taxes and transfers from/to the airport. Then add on $330 for round-trip from MSP. I'm going out of BOS because it offers more flight options from my home airport, so the layovers will be 5 hours and 12 hours instead of 10.5 hours and 16 hours at JFK airport. That's $1305 total travel/lodging, leaving MSP March 20th in the afternoon and arriving MSP March 27th in the morning.

The Icelandair package saves me around $150 from the Orbitz price.

Events:

$311. Includes Fanfest, Poker, Pub Crawl, Golden Circle, and Blue Lagoon. Might as well hit a home run the first time, right?

So, looking at $1616 total for my trip, plus fun money.

Lol, since we are reviving the thread, I guess I should clarify my first Post....


Flying out of Wisconsin, (through Boston), tickets were $768 USD ea x 2 = $1536.

Hotel deal through the EVE online package @ Centerhotel plaza was $254 for 4 nights (one free per the deal, single room).

Events: 2x Fanfest early bird, 2x Pub Crawl, 2x Blue lagoon and 1x SoE package for the lady = $750.00

Total cost before fun money = $2,540 for 2 people.

*EDIT: Fly into Reykjavik - 3/22 early AM, Depart 3/26 late evening

Finally got my finances in order, so I could make reservations and such...

Days of from work: Check

Travel/Lodging: $1325.00 paid (went up $20 since I last checked)

Itinerary:
MAR 20 afternoon Delta MSP-->BOS
MAR 20 overnight Icelandair BOS-->KEF (arrive MAR 21 6:30am)
Five nights CenterHotel Arnarhvoll (MAR 21 - 25, check out MAR 26)
MAR 26 evening Icelandair KEF-->BOS
MAR 27 morning Delta BOS-->MSP

It's on like Donkey Kong!!
