I recently installed OS X El Capitan on my gaming rig, a machine with a 980 Ti that on Windows didn't have any issues running EVE at around 300fps. However, even though it seems to render enough frames it only seems to display below 40 on OS X with the exact same settings (everything maxed out) compared to Windows. Is this an inherent issue with OS X or am I doing something wrong?

I have the latest version of the Nvidia drivers, and of OS X. I'm running a 6600k @ 4.5GHz 1.4V and a GTX 980 Ti at 1080p, which is supported by the web drivers. I'm using the iMac17,1 definition which has support for all Skylake features.

Are you comparing your frame rate to a previous Mac version? Or just to Windows?

Mac performance has always VASTLY inferior to Windows simply because it's not a proper native client; it's just the Windows client running in a Cider/Wine wrapper.
