This. Player since 2006, main with over 100mil sp, and flying solo since 2008. I never had an incredibly bad experience with a corporation or alliance. Voice comms do not annoy me. I'm an extroverted person. I simply do not want any direction other than my own. Simple.

To answer the idiots who say "Well, your fit probably is bad then", I've had success with some of my fits that I post for newer players sometimes and always, someone comes up and says it sucks. Experience tells me otherwise.

There is a single player version of EVE. It's called X. Check out X3 : Terran Conflict. I've sunk many a day into that game...and the learning curve is every bit as brutal if not more so. If you're a masochist like that. (Modding community rocks.)
