Hi everyone, i just started with Eve and was wondering if there are any veteran players out there who are willing to show me the ropes of the game. Thank you for any help!

You may want to contact EVE University, a players run corporation who help newcomers to learn the ropes of the game.
I would have posted a link but it seems that their website is down right now.

Hello and welcome to Eve.

Guess the first thing you can do is browse the various threads in this sub-forum. You'll definitely gain a lot of info within a couple of hours.

In-game I advise you to complete missions for all of the Career Agents and then run the level 1 Sisters Of Eve Epic Arc.. While doing those missions concentrate on training up the Core Fitting skills.

Hopefully after that you'll have a pretty good idea of which career path you'd like to pursue. Doesn't have to be one specific career, lot's of players partake in a mix of career paths.

Just remember a google search will always help gain more info.
