Tip of the day;

Did you know you can create stacks in your Corp Deliveries Hanger by making a contract with a limited amount of stuff from the hanger, which you then cancel in the wizard... whoosh! 2 stacks.

Tip of the day;

The new wallet function that shows wallet change notification, has a threshold function that can be set in the wallet settings menu.

Did you know you can remove items from a trade window without closing the entire trade and starting anew?

If you open your overview settings and go to the 'Appearance' tab, you can toggle Use Small Font to squeeze a little more juice out of your overview.

That was exactly what I wanted to draw attention to, in my own very subtle way: I don't know one either. Ugh

I don't actually think you can... I think that was removed as one of their early anti-scamming changes... Not 100% positive.

I do know for sure that if you open a trade and then the character putting the items in loses their internet connection while the trade window is open, the items get stuck in limbo until down-time, at which point they re-appear in the hangar of the original owner...
(which was quite annoying when trying to transfer 20 billion isk of stockpiled geckos to a trade alt to sell when the price spiked - which is how I found this out Bear)

The dead swans lay in the stagnant pool. They lay. They rotted. They turned Around occasionally. Bits of flesh dropped off them from Time to time. And sank into the pool's mire. They also smelt a great deal.

Tip of the day;

Did you know you can open your overview settings while docked? Bind the "open overview settings" key in ESC menu, open it and then adjust it in full safety.

Tip of the Day;

Did you know that if you undock in a cargo-expanded T1 industrial, or go on autopilot in your pod, you can and probably will be killed and that is a perfectly natural and ordinary thing, and you cannot complain about it or whine that the game needs to be changed. It's your own fault; stay alert!

Use high alpha turrets ungrouped to switch faster between prelocked targets and save ammo at the same time.
This works wonders for all targets you can instapop easily ...
... and scales fluidly for any bigger targets.

Imagine 10 frigates at 100km approaching you.

You start clicking through the closest three while holding the CTRLkey ...
... to lock them up in short order.

After this, you press F1 and wait for the first target to lock ...
... while hovering to fingers above F2 and F3.

Lock.
Pop.
F2.
Second lock.
Pop.
F3.
Third lock.
Pop.

Doing it this way, compared to having all turrets grouped ...
... makes you far more independent of cycle-time ...
... which allows a dynamic target selection* ...
... and to save on ammo due to not firing 8 at once when only 3 are needed.

* aka less waiting time between volleys.

1400s take a while to cycle. Micromanaging and paying attention keep you busy ...
... you can switch damage application between targets faster ...
... and time until the mission completes feels shorter.

If it helps, see an artillery turret as a set of blasters ...
... and you try to simulate several groups of blasters at the same time.

When a full set of 1400s dishes out 10k ...
... that's ~1.2k damage per turret ...
... every 20sec rof/8 turrets = 2.5 seconds.

Bonus points if your sole secondary objective is to keep all turrets balanced ...
... like playing a piano ...
... reaching maximum time efficiency.

^_^

Tip of the day;

When starting a corp or alliance, bills are not paying automatically. The setting to pay them automatically can be found in your corp / alliance wallet.

If you have your turrets or launches grouped and burn them out, ungroup them.

They won't all be burnt out and you can then keep firing with the still active ones.

Tip of the day;

Did you know that if you haul ore from an orca fleetbay, you as a corp-mate, can "stack all" in the orca fleetbay, before moving the items?

If someone links you a ship in a chat, and you wonder what kind of class the ship is;

1) Open show info on the ship link
2) Click the thumbnail of the showinfo, it will show the ship-type on the bigger picture that then opens.

Did you know why anyone would bother typing out the above? It says quite a bit about the typist.
