Mass Test on Singularity on Tuesday, 14th June 2016

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, June 14th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

  • Changes to tactical overlay
  • Improved visual effects for repair drones, sensor dampeners, tracking disruptors, remote sensor booster
  • Stargate visuals
  • Undocking from Citadels
  • Client and server performance


How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal. More detailed instructions are available here.

Test steps:
1. Meet in FD-MLJ, at the gate to X-BV98
2. Activate the Tactical Overlay
3. Jump to X-BV98
4. Test improved effects (see list above)
5. Warp to Citadel and dock at Citadel
6. Undock from Citadel
7. Shoot the Citadel
8. Fleet W: Jump to Poitot + setup gate camp.
9. Fleet X: Jump to Poitot
10. Fight

What else should I know?

  • Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
  • Bring any of following: repair drones, sensor dampeners, tracking disruptors, triage, black ops cyno

Yea, singularity is saying not accepting connections at this time. I will check later today and see how it rolls.

Greetings! I would like to offer a little feedback.

3million SP noob here.
A friend and I tried to help with the test. We had no idea what to expect. We arrived in... our freighters! So we try to find something more suitable. Nothing in docks.. no idea what we are doing.

We were a little skeptical of flying in to nullsec with a final step of fighting.. I had 5 hobgoblins and some nosferatus... my friend was worse off.. he had 2 acolytes and no tank at all.

Well, we missed the test due to fussing about.. we showed up and found ourselves in clown costumes. It's okay.. good joke.. but.. it left us wondering if we were mistaken about what we were supposed to do.

a brief outline of what to expect would have been helpful.
reassurance that the test would not impact our main server assets would have been reassuring.

It was a funny clusterf&*($ on our part.. we will do better next time

Nothing that happens on SiSi w/ your toon or your assets etc. is linked in any way, shape or form onto TQ, rest assured.

As for the brief outline of what to expect, you could (in future) refer to the in-game channel: masstesting
as there will (most likely Roll ) be clear instructions on what to expect etc. in that channel.

Well, I was there on time waited for over an hour for more than 5 to show up. I made a call in local for fleet but no one answered. It was the first opportunity to join the fun so didn't know what channel to log onto either. I did manage to use my damper on two opponents and help kill one of them before my manticore bit it.

It would be nice if you provided some boilerplate for those who seldom participate. Like for instance they can buy ships and most fittings for 100 isk.
