I've been thinking about trying my hand at PI, and I've found a lot of resources on it. I've got one question I don't think I've seen an answer on - can more than one player harvest a planet at a time? If someone else is already set up on a planet does it prevent me from usingit, or dilute/reduce the amount of material you can acquire?

More ppl extracting same spot means it will deplete faster and move away afaik.
Its not big deal unless theres tons of ppl though.
All of this is totally untested based on my "feelings" though Lol

Unlimited numbers of people can use the same planet, and I'm sure there are planets in high sec with hundreds of people using them.

As best I have been able to tell, a planets resource pool replenishes at a fixed rate. If people extract faster than the replenishment rate you will see shrinking extraction amounts over time.

That makes , in my opinion, deep empty areas of low sec, null sec or wormholes the best places to PI.

Ok, thanks. That makes sense.
