Extracting skills

Hi. If I have research agents earning me research points and then I extract the required science skills, will my RP accumulation stop? Can I still talk to the agent and claim datacores?

You can still talk to the agent but RP/day is based on the science skill level. I extracted a few level 4 science skills from one of my characters and the RP/day dropped from 88.5 with level 4 to 68.5 with level 3 skills. I assume that you would end up earning nothing if you extract the skill completely but haven't tested that.
