Chandeille ceasefire

Sanxing applauds the recent cessation of hostilities on Tei-Su and looks forward to this heralding a more permanent and lasting peace that will restore harmony and benevolence on the homeworld of the Jin-Mei.

As an organisation committed to furthering the peace and prosperity of the Jin-Mei people we are humbled to have played a role in seeing this ceasefire effected. We would like to especially acknowledge the Villore Assembly without which neither the resolution that created the impetus for this ceasefire nor the relief effort we now manage would have come into effect.

Sanxing is proud to play a continued role in the efforts to restore peace and prosperity to Tei-Su, and will be aiding in the crafting of a lasting peace plan. This ceasefire also allows us to redouble our aid efforts and to progress them into the next stage: reconstruction.

On a personal note since the beginning of the relief effort I have encountered cynicism from even our supporters, a sense that we cannot effect change, I hope that this ceasefire will show all that they still have cause to hope - that this dark chaotic moment is but the passing of greed, and beyond it we can look forward to a new dawn of peace and prosperity.

I'm sorry love, I know you don't want this to be about you but I have to say something:
Almost nobody knows just how hard Xun Yu has personally been working on the relief effort. Hours every day spent actively keeping it running smooth. Hours of sleep missed most nights since it kicked off. He would give all the credit to others: the Villore Assembly, everyone who has donated to the relief effort, and Sanxing as a group (of a few capsuleers and a much larger number of baseliners). There's a lot of credit to go around and his humility isn't a bad thing. But it's his will and his dedication to his people that made today's news possible.

Like he said, this isn't where we slow down, this is where we redouble.

Taishou Xun Yu's role in these events has been crucial. When the Villore Assembly was conceived, we had no specific policy agenda, and very limited internal goals. We, like many capsuleers, had only a vague notion of what had been happening on Chandeille. Xun Yu brought the issue before us, and only then did we have a true focus.

Then, there was the relief effort itself. My involvement has honestly only been at the periphery. Sanxing, however, has literally put boots on the ground.

I'd like to add a further note of acknowledgement to the tireless work of the diplomats on all sides who have worked to resolve this conflict for years, indeed decades, before we ever got involved. Without the work of the Federation negotiators, no amount of publicity or relief aid could have brought about peace. Their quiet and patient determination is surely worthy of the highest praise.

This is, I believe, the happiest day of my life. The commitment to peace and unwavering service to the good of our people provided by the Federation, the Villore Assembly, the many people who donated, Sanxing's staff and capsuleers and, of course, Taishou Xun have been inspiring to see, and they have refreshed my spirit. I say with utmost gratitude that I have been humbled and uplifted by being allowed my own small part in this effort.

We will continue on. We will rebuild, we will heal, we will rise to greater heights. For the Federation! For Mei Ha!

Tei-Su ceasefire progress

Thanks to overwhelming material aid from the capsuleer community, Sanxing was able to effect a ceasefire on Tei-Su in cooperation with a resolution from the Villore Assembly.

We are committed however to transforming this ceasefire into a permanent peace, and as such over the past two weeks we have been involved in extensive negotiations with both sides of the conflict.

The result of these negotiations has been the acceptance of Sanxing as a neutral party to arbitrate and provide security to the peace negotiations.

Those negotiations shall take place in a specifically Sanxing-constructed centre on the surface: this facility has been funded entirely by Sanxing without using any resources from the relief effort. The centre itself is state-of-the-art with all the necessary facilities to allow both sides to continue negotiations towards a final peace in absolute security and privacy.
