I, Content Enabler

Let's face it: a robotic streak is prerequisite for being a content enabler in this game. Are there are whisperings about enabling CREST write for certain endpoints?

The one I am particularly grumpy about this morning is contracts. I currently run a buyback program in Fade for Pandemic Horde members in which I receive dozens of Item Exchange contracts each day, typically zero sum because I am magnificently trustworthy, and send back ISK to cover a percentage of the Jita buy value before accepting the contract. Today, this requires 24 clicks and keyboard shortcuts: open the contract, copy contents, paste into evepraisal.com, copy buy value into spreadsheet, get percentage value, send ISK, accept contract. And then you repeat about 60 times in order to get those repetitive straight injuries we all seem to crave.

It would be great if I could automate this. I can already pull contracts and estimate the current Jita value of the items but it would be really great if I could accept contracts and send ISK.

I can't think of why this would be too overpowered. Contract acceptance and sending ISK are very different to external modification of market orders, for example (which would be terrible for the game).

Is there any chance that accepting contracts and sending ISK might be write enabled at some point?

I don't think so otherwise people will develop an out game managements for generate resource/ISK. I doubt CCP lets them to develop

I am enquiring about ISK and asset transfer, not generation.

Sorry for my misreading. My head hurts
You may look at https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/caks-and-contracts-in-the-api/ but no crest endpoint.

You could always automate the process, as we do: http://evernus.com/alliance-market/

Thanks for the reply, FoxFour. Btw, the status endpoint in IndustryJobs is broken - never gives '3' for ready.

Thanks also for the evernus link. I'll have a look at it. In the meantime I have fixed up an API pull for contracts, and subsequently contracts items, along with a total value from eve-central.

Just as a rule of thumb: if it moves assets/value, it won't be CREST enabled. (so don't expect market orders to be enabled either.)

There's a few reasons for this, from stopping botting, to preventing people from stealing assets with a malicious CREST application (it's against the rules, but you know what people can be like.)

Now, there may be things done which make things _easier_, but they'll still require manual intervention to do an action.

Making it easier could be interesting. Do I hear the sound of an impending contract system overhaul?

I wouldn't expect that. (It'd be nice, but far from minor).

But on the offchance it does come up, what would you like?
